Insane ... but I wonder what their profitability model is going-to-be.

I wonder how many Board Members went to the same SEC school with each other; thinking they they can sway kids to their alma mater via their new school.

A friend of ours has a daughter that attends IMG and plays tennis. The crazy stories he tells us of his daughters adventures are mind blowing. It's used as a boarding school for the wealthy.

A minority are there on athletic scholarships wile most of the athlete kids that attend IMG come from the top 0.1% wealthiest people. Our friend's daughter pretty much befriended a wealthy European aristocrat's daughter and has jet setted around the world most of us can only dream about.

I lived in Sarasota in the early 90s. Knew a trainer that worked there. I got invited by them to workout for the day. Very impressive place but expensive. Back then to train in tennis and live there was over 100k. They were producing top tennis players left and right.

I have a good friend who works there.

He left a good D1 school to work there and said the facilities are better than anything he ever saw. Think about that. A high school has better facilities and player development structures in place than the insane over investment our universities are spending.
