This should help empty out the upper deck and get 6 feet social distancing at the rest of the SWAMP.

I'm convinced that there is literally nothing that cannot be misconstrued as racist if somebody looks hard enough. Christ

That's why I'm generally uneasy with the removal of monuments and renaming of buildings. Cancel culture is a cancer that if not contained just spreads. People are looking for anything to pat themselves on the back and score brownie points and social cred.

Missed out on the opportunity to jump on the backwagon to rename a building named after a long-dead vile racist? No worries, you can contribute to the dismantling of systemic racism by finding something as docile as this offensive and ending a cheer.

If Florida fans had any balls you would start up a petition and protest at the university or Kent Fuchs’s house until it gets changed back. Probably just gonna complain about it online and do nothing though.

Umm. They are already changing school names with Jefferson and Washington.

If their cause is just, everything named after a slave holder must be changed.

It wasn’t about statues. They lied.

Hahaha I'm not laughing at Florida fans. I'm laughing with Florida fans. Over the past couple of weeks, I seen the stupidest shite in my life and that's saying something.

Why is Fuchs just now doing this? He's a racist for letting this happen on on his watch for so many years.

Gators live in the swamp.....some plantations were built in the general vicinity of the swamp.

I can totally see the connection.

I guess when LSU fans yell “Tiger Bait” at the opposing team’s fans, it’s a racist chant. Lol

All universities are run by ultra liberal freaks. It’s just a matter of time when ALL tradition will be racist. How much will we take before fighting back?

I’m on board with removing confederate monuments and considering campus building updates
Why? Are you somehow more important than the folks who named those buildings and erected those monuments? Just because they are dead doesn't give you or anyone else the right to destroy what they erected. Change YOUR own name if that floats your boat. Leave history alone to be passed down to future generations. These monuments provide a window into the past and spur actual debate about what took place. This debate uncovers BOTH sides of an argument which is far, far more honest and better for society in general. Adopting only one perspective about historical events leads to a dead end road where EVERYBODY is FORCED to see things from one perspective whether right or wrong. You don't have a right to deny future Americans the freedom to think for themselves and should be opposing anyone who assumes that right.

And THAT is the biggest danger here. It’s not people wanting to see things changed, it’s the decision makers overcompensating with the changes they elect to make. I’m betting on the social balance here, that whereas there is a loud push to change things, there is an equally large group in opposition. Politicians will need to appease both sets of voters which means some things get changed but not all. Of course, I’m a terrible gambler and could end up regretting it but I’m hopeful that’s how it shakes out.
