Funny the Tennessee fan is the one discrediting a cheap and intentional knee shot

stop crying dam! its footbal, players get hurt, move on. We lost several players yesterday, thats football. Our coach wasnt being a pos cussing opposing teams players, pos gone pos i guess.

frick you you cocksucking inbred piece of shite. Going after a quarterbacks knees after he's gotten rid of the ball isn't football. It's not the fact that LDR was injured, it's the fact that the pussy from North Texas took a cheap shot and then his coaches and teammates celebrated the injury with him.

I'll take Mac defending his players when they get hit with a cheap shot by a piece of shite player over the cliche machine that is Wife Beater Butch. So frick that player, frick their coach for defending dirty play, and frick you for being a dumbass Tennessee fan. I can't wait to make it 12 in a row over you buttchugging motherfrickers.

There back up is a Pudue transfer as well. He actually beat out Etling and made his arse quit.

You mean you have Appleby? The guy that came in and replaced him who wound up being even worse? Yeah, made his arse quit. He left because his coach was downright terrible, and couldn't win a game to save his life, so he replaced him to see if that would change anything.

It didn't

Did you watch the replay? It was a bush league hit and I would be concerned if the coach & players didn't get pissed.

I watched the replay:

Video in article

I know UF fans are upset but, I'm sorry, it just doesn't look dirty to me. The guy was taking a desperation lunge while the UF guy was trying to block him from behind. There's really no indication the North Texas guy was trying to injure Del Rio. Del Rio went down awkardly. The vast majority of the time, that tackle isn't going to cause real injury. If the guy was on top of Del Rio and deliberate went for the knees or ankles when he could have done a proper body tackle, that's one thing. That wasn't how this play unfolded, though.

get out of here with your common sense. Idiot florida fans just want to bitch and cry and blame someone else. They need to worry about their pos coach and how he acts, i guess thats where these trashy fans get their actions from. All they wana do is blame someone else for some mediocre players injury. Here we are over here losing our 2 best defensive players and its next man up.

It was dirty and the OP asked about Del Rio which started this thread...we didnt start the thread.

Someone needs glasses if they think it wasnt a dirty cheap shot at the knees....same dude already took out another teams players ACL...how many knee injuries does this POS need to cause before that chickenshit conference suspends his sorry azz?

Our coach has his players backs and it isnt a cliche with him like some coaches. He was unhappy that the POS wasnt ejected and then the very next play the refs eject our starting LG for hitting a player...and if you watch video it was a bullshite call (to eject him) to penalize Coach Mac....and the SEC even stated that our LG will not serve suspension for a half against UT....they know it was it was a bullshite call. Things got heated as hell after Del Rios injury. Our players are tight.

I agree with Vandy fan.

I've watched the video multiple times and it was not a dirty hit. The fact the Donkey face got so upset about it is laughable.

The NT player was already low after beating the TE around the edge and and had to lunge/dive to reach Del Rio before he threw the ball. The NT player had already committed to the QB as Del Rio was in his throwing motion.

Sucks for Del Rio but it wasn't intentional. Can't wait for Barnett to knock the frick out of Appleby. Hope Felipe Franks is ready.

Your careful analysis and breakdown of what happened are very convincing, but I'm not yet ready to buy it.

Take off your UF glasses for a second and look at it from an outside perspective. What I see is exactly what I described in my comment above -- the guy was lunging from several feet away in a desperate hope to get the sack before the ball was released. It wasn't a wise play and, as it turns out, desperation isn't really the best way to get the result you're hoping for in a timely manner. Nevertheless there's simply no indication from the play itself that the guy was trying to cause an injury or make a dirty play. I get being upset. I suspect, however, from the rest of your post, that you're riding high on the solidarity train. If you were forced to agree it wasn't a dirty play, that would undermine the warm fuzzies of the team and coach pulling together, so such an agreement would never happen. Therefore, there's no point in trying to convince you that your interpretation simply doesn't hold up as an empirical fact under the actual on-field action.

Edit: You can separate me from some of the UT fans in this thread. They're trash-talking you because y'all have a game coming up. I'm just trying to offer an outside perspective.

Any report on how Del Rio is? Hope the kids injury isn't as bad as some have said. Hate to see it, and yes, it was a cheap shot.
