Per sources, Florida has scheduled non-conference games against @Utah_Football with game in Gainesville in 2022 and Salt Lake City the following year. Plan accordingl

Anybody want to bet the Florida finds a way to back out of the return visit?

No... Florida has already set up home and homes with Texas and Colorado prior to this game.

Not to mention a H&H with Miami, and games against USF.

Bama has the best non conference schedule for the next decade.

The Big 6 Future Opponents:

Bama's future opponents announced so far...

USC...Miami...Texas...Wisconsin...West Virginia...Notre Dame...Oklahoma.

Georgia's future opponents announced so far...

Virginia...Oregon...Oklahoma...Clemson...UCLA...Florida State...Texas.

LSU's future opponents announced so far...

Texas...UCLA...Army...New Mexico...Clemson...Oklahoma...Arizona State.

Tennessee's future opponents announced so far...

Oklahoma...Pittsburgh...Army...BYU...Nebraska...Connecticut.

Florida's future opponents announced so far...

New Mexico State...Miami...Colorado...Texas...Utah*.

Auburn's future opponents announced so far...

North Carolina...Penn State...San Jose State...California...Baylor...UCLA.

I'd rate UGA's,Bama's, and LSU's scheduling pretty even.

It’s actually smart since one non conference lost won’t keep an SEC team from the playoffs and it can serve to boost your resume especially if win both home and away like UGA did with Norte Dame

Florida fans have to plan accordingly more than 2 years in advance for a rare, out of state OOC game.

Alabama actually schedules and plays a good non-conference road game? Or EA creates and releases the new NCAAF Video Game

Bama’s upcoming OOC schedule:

2020 USC @ Neutral
2021 Miami @ Neutral
2022 Texas @ Texas
2023 Texas @ Bama
2024 Wisconsin @ Wisconsin
2025 Wisconsin @ Bama
2026 West Virginia @ West Virginia
2027 West Virginia @ Bama

I get the premise of this thread that Florida rarely goes out of state, but the original statement is wrong. Florida played Michigan in Dallas in 2017. It didn't go well and I too would like to forget it ever happened. Still, let's get our facts straight.

Given most teams rarely ever play more than one Power 5 team I always find teams harping on Florida's non conference scheduling laughable.

Some of you literally just post without thinking at all. Nothing you said above is remotely true. We’ve played Miami twice this decade and already have two scheduled for next decade. UCF got the 2 for 1 offer and turned it down. If you have an issue with that tell your AD to schedule a home and home with there asses.

And with the way the schedule is setting up will do it quite a bit more over the next decade. Not seeing a whole lot of other schools scheduling 2 P5 schools OOC on any sort of regular basis

That’s because they are a bunch of bitches. UF has never had a weak schedule, they can go suck a dick.

Please inform us on how we could do better with our schedule and still continue to play FSU every year. Without a scheduling disadvantage I’ll wait. Mind you we’ve played Miami and Michigan as season openers 2 years out of the last three.

It’s because they are stupid. Nobody should complain about the schedule UF or South Carolina play. Historically we can’t schedule a harder OOC team than FSU every year. Same for South Carolina.

And some of us live in South Florida and have followed the rivalry for more than 50 years. You've played Miami 5 times in the regular season since 1987. 5 times in 32 years. You didn't play them in the regular season for 15 years and didn't play them at all in the 90's. Between 2008 and 2019 - you only played one time (2013) in an 11 year span. Let's not say there isn't some truth to your reluctance to schedule Miami since they became a national power in the 80's.

Consistently solid program, good fanbase, cool city, easy flight

Salt Lake really does have a great airport. I fly down to San Antonio now and again and there are no direct flights between SAT and PDX but I find connecting through SLC to be very convenient. Great for ski trips too. Short drive or shuttle over to Park City.

Utah has great fan support. They were a great addition to the Pac 12.
