I love this time of year where every fanbase thinks their program is too good for every viable candidate.
"Mizzou sucks! They've always sucked!"
"Ya know, that Drink guys been winning a lot of ballgames at Mizzou"
"Who cares? He stinks cuz he's at Mizzou!"

Just realized how completely worthless most sports “journalists” are now days.

Obviously, I hate Louisville.
But all of these schools with Brohm at the top of their list is just getting him a new contract extension at UofL. His family is here, he played for UofL, he jumped at the opening when it happened (while he was at Purdue). I really don’t see him leaving for anything less than an NFL opening.

Oh settle down. Lane wasn’t leaving and the UF fan base is working through some things like rehab and alligator jort weaving.

Florida is determined to win the press conference. It will not end well.
Auburn I'm not sure about.
I think Arkansas makes the best hire this cycle. Things have finally gotten real in Fayettenam. Gonna be fun to watch.
Keep an eye on the James Madison coach. Someone's going to get a steal there.

Those are the coaches we have fired since spurrier. Please list the accomplishments of these coaches since we have fired them. We definitely have a problem. A hiring problem. Let me know when you have those accomplishments listed.

No troll but what is Lane against top ten teams?
What about almost every coach?
You'd have to think most coaches don't usually beat top 10 teams and I would guess the majority have a losing record vs. top 10 teams.
The reason Drink and Lane still have jobs is b/c they beat teams they should beat rather than losing to teams they should not lose to.
Example: Penn St losing to UCLA or FL losing to USF.
You're an aTm fan right? What was Elko's record vs top 10 teams before you hired him?
He coached at Duke for two years right? Did he even get to play a top 10 team? If he did, surely he won right?
aTm hired a guy that was 7-5 in the ACC but hiring Drink who coached in the SEC is worse than hiring a coach that coached in the ACC? What are you smoking?

Lane has seen Layla naked. He ain't going nowhere.

Explain how this works? UF is going to be coach less until January and miss the whole high school signing class?
Ole Miss probably will have a home game. So you aren't going to announce him until January 2nd and only have 10 days of the portal period to build a roster?
You have no idea how any of this works.
His choice is to take the UF job and not coach Ole Miss in the playoffs or he isn't going to UF. It is that simple.

Unrealistic to think any Coach that is on track for playoffs is going to leave their school before playoff run is finished.
These schools that made a mid-season firing really screwed up. Should have waited until early December after NSD to make the move.
That way it would not be such a major issue to wait until a high level coach has completed his shot at the playoffs.
