Why? Explain why travel time matters less than the physical mileage.

There is one thing on this earth that you can never get back and that is time.

I just did a full-system check in the bathroom and I can confirm that my body does not have an odometer.

"The stadium sitting within the state of Florida gives Florida no advantage. Mercedes-Benz is only an hour away from Athens, but that hasn't seemed to help us against Alabama."

& we don't play Alabama every year. So you can't make that claim for comparison.

As I've stated, let's move the WLOCP to Atlanta & see how long it takes to hear Gators make the same statement I am.

You are presuming that they bitch like women instead of seeing the good in a fall vacation on the beach.

Let's see....somebody going 55 MPH compared to 460+ MPH.

Still doesn't negate the fact of 71 miles to 360 miles.

You don't think 460 mph is better?

I'd much rather travel 460 than 55

3rd option: rotate Atlanta & Jax (both 1 hr. from the schools & the method of traveling is alternated).

What don't you undrestand about the fact that this game is not going to be moved based on the whims of old timers that dont' want to drive to the game? That is a horrendous option. Atlanta has nothing to do with the WLOCP ffs.

Would riun the rivalry how? Same 2 teams are still playing @ Halloween.

The dome that has a roof that opens.

Me complaining about travel when I presented having it in Atlanta, the Fl. fans complained about travel. So who are you addressing?

because the WLOCP is about:

being on the banks of the st johns river
being near jekyll/st simons/ameila/jax beach/st augustin
warm weather and good seafood
golf
lots of party options
an outdoor stadium

Same as it has been since the nineteen fricking thirties. Being played near a parking lot in downtown atlanta in a domed stadium is not the WLOCP.

You, still. And anyone that demands a game be moved because YOU are too inconvenienced to attend.

the kids don't ever get the experience of playing in the rival's stadium......I have only been to Gainesville one time and it was because I was at my sister's and they had an extra ticket. I have been to JAX probably 17-18 times. I really don't give a shite about a neutral site game I like alternating home and home with Rivals even Auburn although crazy shite happens at Jordan Hare. I am fine if they want to go a 3 year rotation, home-home-jax that way the kids will atleast get to play in others stadium

It's great, and it's not going anywhere especially with the Jags leaving in the next decade.

Have you never been to Frat Beach that week? UG students don't want it moved because I believe they only have classes 2 days that week.

Home / Home Pros-
Extra Recruiting opportunity every other year

JAX-
More money each school brings in around 3.5M each year , compared to est 1.5-2M every other year

Neutral site experience

Jax pays all traveling expenses

Economic revenue to Jax and south ga apx 50M

Huge alumni bases for both schools in the area

Basically a LoCK for 3:30 on CBS Halloween weekend ( this could very easily change if it went Home and Home )

To me to fix the recruiting deal, just make sure you have a Big OOC game at home the year you are designated the home team for the game...

Yeah, it's dumb how schools can't host recruits at neutral site games.

so what? It's been 12 years since we've played in tuscaloosa. Was 10 before last year in baton rouge. It'll be 12 years since aTm joined the league before we go there. You don't move the most unique football game in CFB because so a kid that might be here 4 years gets to play in another team's stadium.

this is so overblown to me, IMO. You lose that recruiting wknd every other year anyway if it was home/home. We have plenty of other opporutnities throughout the year to host recruits and playing in the WLOCP is a recruiting tool unto itself IYAM. We damn sure don't seem to be hurting for recruits at the moment.
