If I were McElwain, I wouldn't accept less that $10 mil of the $12.9 or whatever it is. I'm not sure his comments about the death threat would be enough for a court or arbitrator to find that has enough cause to void his contract.

How did this go so wrong, so fast? Yeah, he’s got yellow teeth, his offense is anemic, he humps sharks and makes up stuff, but he won two east titles in his first two years and is having a down season.

Contrary to popular belief, it is actually much more difficult to find a consenting shark that is eager to mate with a human than it has been to win the East the past 2 years.
McElwain has been putting his effort into the wrong ventures, and it shows on the field.
