Serious curiosity.

He was a beast of a coach at Utah.
Had great success at Florida.
I really wanted him at Auburn for a long time.

Then, suddenly he has erratic coaching decisions and questionable personal decisions that take over?

Was it all the guaranteed money?
Ego?

You watched it happen up close. Fill me in on your thoughts.

Ego

He has pretty much ridden off the success of incredible QB's from BGSU to OSU and quit whenever there was difficulty or a sign of bad things to come. All while enabling bad stuff in the background for a win at all cost mentality

Coached a group of thugs (other than Tebow) with no morality to win at Florida, sold his soul to the devil. Devil is now collecting.

His personal life is an absolute train wreck and the ends always justify the means for Urban. It inevitably catches up to him. It's just a question of how long it takes.

That would make more sense.

His daughter is always quick to to defend him (i.e. his "heart issues") so I wonder where she stands on his most recent behavior.

He's always been a fraud, but his coaching glossed over his personal shortcomings. He's been exposed (prior to the latest incident) and lost the moral authority to demand and get respect. He's done imo. Jag players were laughing at him during his apology. He'll never lead that team anywhere.

You are in luck:

IMO, CUM is a talented head coach (though much better suited for college than the NFL) but is strange and has a low tolerance for adversity. He was an awful choice to take over a bottom-dwelling NFL franchise with a long, bumpy road to success ahead of it. He’s nowhere near as tough and driven as Jimmy Johnson when he took over the Cowboys under similar circumstances in 1989.

What do you mean what happened? The dude is a great coach but he’s a scumbag and has issues dealing with stress. Not that complicated

Got it. So in summation "we are going to sweep it under the rug as usual to ensure that our family does not alienate him in order stay in his good graces and remain financially supported by him in the future."
