Y'all getting fired up on a stupid arse guy from Texas paraphrasing people as sources to make UF look like the bad guy. I get that he is partial to DJ being from the same state, but he doesn't have a clue what happened in that meeting. I like DJ, and think he is a good guy and has a ton of talent, and I hope he goes somewhere (far away) and finds someone who can bring out the best in him. It sucks that it didn't work out, as I was hoping Lagway would stick around and see what this Ga Tech OC can do with him.

Oh, man...I'd take this dude in a heartbeat at Notre Dame. We recruit well in every position but QB. We keep landing 5 and 4 star players that are never QB's. We even have a top 2 recruiting class coming in and the highest QB we have in that class is a 3 star. Give me this former 5 star recruit and lets see what Freeman can do with him.

Florida keeping Lagway would be the coaches gambling with their future – they could hit big, or there’s a really good chance lagway stalls the offense and in turn Sumralls hopes and dreams

Sumrall doesn't suck, the breastfeeding culture instilled by the Head Disney Gator made some of these players soft. And you bought into it. "New coach is meany waaahhhhh" You're literally the definition of a Disney Gator.

I'm not ruling out Lagway turning it around after a fresh start at a good situation, but he was garbage this past year and hasn't been healthy since he stepped on campus. Napier's offense was obviously trash too but the majority of Lagway's mistakes were his to own. Hasn't clicked between the ears at all yet, and he doesn't have the legs (whether it's injury, being overweight, or just timid mentally) to even be considered a true dual threat right now to make up for the poor decision making. Simply disastrous mechanics, throwing off his back foot and side armed as often as not.
By all accounts seems like a good kid but I do question his drive and desire. He's often too nonchalant and had multiple responses to the media basically like "oh shucks, well I'm just having fun playing football" when questioned about his and the team's play. Never appears to show any emotion except "dead eyed stare from the bench". He's not in shape. Maybe this serves as a wake up call and he gets it together at his next stop, assuming he finally gets truly healthy. No problem with Sumrall not rolling out the red carpet for him and appeasing him and his agent just because the last staff did. His play hasn't called for it.

Is he gone? Yes or no? So our last choice coach just let our only hope leave...we now have the worst QB room UF has had in a very long time. We will again be bad this year and the head coach will get booed at "The Swamp"
