I had read that any estimates are typically a week behind anyway? Not sure how effective a ban is at this point.

I would expect Florida to begin to match up with number of cases relative to their population size at some point in the near future.

The virus has been allowed to run basically uncheched in this country since at least Jan 15th. Possibly even before that. The case count in all or most areas is almost certainly substantially higher than anyone could imagine.

Flori-duh needs to figure out a way to ban it's own college kids from the beaches during spring break. Florida is a wonderful state in some areas, but once you get south of I-4 it goes to hell in a hand basket.

The Louisiana ban is to stop gonorrhea. Stopping Covid-19 is just a bonus

I don't rent to spring breakers anyway. That they might trash the place isn't worth it.

Just to clarify. My post wasn't directed at you. I assumed you didn't have the authority to shut down the beaches. My post was more aimed at the various governments not shutting them down so the dumbasses in Missouri didn't have the option.

7th in active coronavirus cases

You're only 7th because half of your cases are being counted on other states numbers.I bet you'd be competing for 3rd if you counted everyone that caught it while there.

Can we who live in Louisiana quarantine the New Orleans metro area off from the rest of the state?
Wouldn’t take but closing 4-5 bridges.

Obviously you haven’t been to Opelika in the past say... 5 years. You should really back away from the keyboard and get out more. However, with the virus you need to keep your old arse at home.

You can't fix stupid...the virus has become as much a part of human existence as the flu...it's here and it's not going anywhere. We need a vaccine but until then...good luck with keeping t out of any state...not happening !!!

If your assertion is correct, why are the locals not blowing up the number of cases? Is it because we weren't the problem Cases per capita, Florida ain't in the top 50%

Honestly I haven't been downtown for about 6 months. My daughter and I ate and had a drink on the main drag. And I stopped and got gas a month ago. It's a nasty place. I'm sure some of those victims of the mass outbreak of this virus there are good folks. But likely their economic situations kept them in the dump.

Thanks for the stay at home advice. Although at last count Columbus and P.C. and Muscogee County with a population about 5 or 6 times times that of Auburn-Opelika-Lee county has 7 cases, all on Ft Benning and imported for hospital care reasons from Albany. While little Lee county is a hot bed with over 50. Unbelievable unless you go through the Opelika section.

Florida will be a better place if we can keep people from NY and Louisiana out of here.
