The kid he recruited to be QB dropped dimes all night for ASU because your boosters wouldn't pay. That move then felt like one made to frick over Napier and usher him out before he even had a chance and it especially looks that way now.

Maybe don't offer a high school kid 15 million dollars if NIL money your collective doesn't have then expect your boosters to bail you out?

Not like it would have mattered Richardson looked like dog shite in this offense also

Utah looked pretty decent defensively. Florida shot themselves in the foot though.

Utah with Cam Rising yeah a legit contender in the PAC. Without him no.

Gators got worked by Utah’s backup QB’s.

I am so grateful South Carolina didn’t hire Napier. Yikes.

Not getting lined up. Bad penalties during crucial moments. Idiotic play calling.

Agreed.

They kept getting penalties at terrible times, like the false start on 4th and 1, illegal formation on 4th down, and the double number penalty on a punt that gave Utah a first down (that they ultimately scored on).

Florida looked extremely poorly coached.

Hell, I expected them to film the Florida sideline and discover that Chad Morris was coaching the team. I haven't seen a P5 team that poorly coached since Chad burned the Arkansas program to the ground.

Gators coaching got worked by Superior coaching .. a lot.

Are you supposed to have a few more defenders on the line during a FG attempt? Or maybe we had too many players with the #3?

Honestly, the players looked lost much of the time. Any speed with the offensive snaps, and the score would have been MUCH bigger

always amazes me how a network that exists to show sports doesn't broadcast pretty much every event in 4k. The Fox game of the week in 4k is effing amazing.

It’s complicated And ESPN is already struggling financially. But, I agree, a lot of their broadcasts look like shite compared to others.

I don't think Florida is as bad as it showed at times last night, and there were some encouraging things.

Mertz wasn't great but 70% completion and 300+ yards will work, even with a bad OL.

OL getting Kingsley at C back will help a bunch with communication.

Florida's focus should entirely being on fixing all the procedural shite that happened and getting ready for the Vols in 2 weeks.

We need to focus on just beating McNeese with how poorly coached this team is right now.

They have a game before Tennessee. Take care of that one even if it is a weak opponent or things will then officially be done two weeks in. Florida has to establish a running game. Etienne is more than serviceable. Then mix in the tight end concept they were using with some routes to Pearsall.
No matter what happens the unforced error penalties and coaching decisions have to be perfect on a team that is already lacking elite talent.
Utah is no slouch though and they were ready.
Florida was just not ready for them.

FWIW, imma thinking UF mighta been thinking Utes might try a fake on the 55yd FG attempt up 13 ...

Utah's chances were prolly about the same for a fake as it was for a 55 yarder. UF woulda had about the same field position on a failed fake or missed FG...

Napier was the perfect hire for UF.

A home run.

shite tends to get exposed when you play a top 15 P5 opponent on the road to start the season.

So yes - but it is what it is.
