Fitz at Manning Passing Academy
quote:
"Anytime you have your entire staff gutted or replaced, you have huge changes," Fitzgerald said. "I feel like we have a stronger staff than we had before They are very talented guys. And very positive, which is a little different. Before there was a bit more yelling and screaming. Now it's a little more talking and making sure we're understanding."
quote:
"I'm healthy, and I know a lot of people didn't really expect that," Fitzgerald said. "I just want to make sure I can master the offense and help us put up some points."

That was a horrible injury. I'm glad he's healthy

Nah, Moorhead just isn’t a pretentious a-hole.

What is he suppose to say about a new coach? That he is worse?

So even though Mullen has all these great NFL quarterbacks that studied under him, a coach that has never been the head guy above the FCS level is somehow more talented?
Please Fitz

Welcome to what every team and fan says about their new coach.

Did you expect him to come out and shite on his new coaching staff and call Mullen better?

Moorhead is no matt (i love ole miss) luke, but i think he will do pretty good.

That the new coach is a much better recruiter than Mullen

Don't be obtuse. Moorhead is regarded as the best offensive coordinator in the nation, and so far is recruiting light years ahead of Mullen. It's not really a stretch

None of this is true.

Actually it wasn’t horrible. Typical ankle fx dumbass.

Mullen can’t recruit his way out of wet paper sack. That’s becoming obvious, he better be able to coach, or he won’t be employed in the SEC much longer. Our recruiting class is a travesty right now, he’s not even getting the best dual threat QB’s which is literally the only thing he can even hang his hat on. Whatever it is what it is.

He ought to be careful about that Manning Passing Academy.
South Carolina has had two qb's go to that in about the last five years:
1) Dylan Thompson, right before his senior year
2) Jake Bentley after his freshman year
Both of them seemed to have trouble making accurate throws the year afterward.
That's anecdotal, but I can tell you Bentley was more accurate as a freshman than last year (my opinion at least).
And Dylan Thompson had a big senior year for us stats wise, but he made some crazy bad throws that year as well, and it just wasn't a problem he'd had in any of the past 3 years (he played a decent amount at times, even if he was behind Shaw).
My two cents.

Count on Moorhead remaining firmly entrenched at State long after Luke has taken the OL job at UT-Martin.

Ms state is gonna digress over the next few years. This is not baseball. Getting a good football coach there is hard. Who is this Moorehead guy anyway?

I think you were looking for another word. But I digress
