10/1/1988 vs TCU. We won 53-10. Steve Atwater was my hero - and I thought Kendall Trainor could kick an 80 yd FG if necessary.

The first one I remember was in 1999 (I think) when OM played Arkansas in Oxford. Deuce took the opening kickoff to the house.

'03 LSU v OM. To this day still best game I've ever seen. OM had -1 rushing yards into the 4th. Hardest hitting football game I've ever seen.

1978 Bama vs Va Tech.
I was only 3 and I don't remember much except my brother spilling my dad's bourbon & Coke, and the guy in front of me smoking cigarettes the whole game.

September 1965 LSU vs. Rice is the first game I remember although my parents have told me I was at early games. I remember the colors of the field and Joe Labruzzo returning punts which I thought was so cool because I knew him

1980. Don't remember the date but it was Coach Bryant's 300th win and it was against Kentucky. I remember the students carrying signs with 300 on it.

1990 vs Southern Miss... we got beat. i know i went to some before then, but this is the first I have a vivid memory of.
I also remember getting beat by Florida in JHS in 91... my two earliest memories were losses.

2001 - State got their aces handed to them by the mighty Troy State (Yes, they were still Troy State back then) Trojans. Gave TSU their first win over a D1 opponent. Also, tornado sirens went off after one of the TSU's touchdowns, and I was sitting all the way at the top of DWS. Fun times.

Arizona 2006.....45-3. Got $10 dollar tickets and made it to the game with about 12 minutes left in the first quarter.

I was too young to remember. I got a free horseshoe ticket at the Dairy Queen and went with my older brothers. I couldn't have been more than 5.

Technically it was 1985 GT/Auburn but I was a Tech fan then.
As an AU fan, 1997 Central Florida/AU...Dante Culpepper was UCF's QB that game.

First game of the 1975 football season, A&M hosting Ole Miss at Kyle Field. Aggies won 7-0. I stood in the upper deck (there were only 2 decks then) with the students, and got fiberglass splinters in my jeans when I sat down at halftime (the bleachers were fiberglass, and all the standing had worn the finish off, so that you'd get splinters if you were on a particularly worn seat). I was just about to turn 9.

I'm was an LSU vs. Ole Miss game, just my dad and me. I would have been 8 or 9. Would have been in either like 74 or 75, around in there.
To this day, I still remember the feeling (and I'm getting chills when I type this) I felt when I walked out of the concourse, and saw that sight for the first time. All the colors, and people, the field, the sounds, and smells. My eyes must have looked like saucers. The colors are what stand out almost 40 years later.
We got into the game early, and I asked my dad why "that" section in the corner was so full already. He explained to me that those were students, and they got to the game early, as their seats were not reserved.
Before the game, the Ole Miss cheerleaders ran around the entire stadium waving the Rebel flag - close to the stands. Dad told me to take note at what happens when it gets in front of "that" section. Like clockwork, a group of male students bailed out of the stands, and commenced to fighting the Ole Miss cheerleaders for that Rebel flag. Before the stars and bars got to "that" section, dad told me "it'll never make it around this whole stadium."
Ole Miss still played Dixie. When they played it for the first time, Dad said "stand up boy and take your hate off, they are playing the national anthem". And I'm pretty sure he meant it. And we were LSU fans!
I don't remember the score, or a single detail of the game, but the feeling I felt at my first sight of the innerds of a full Tiger Stadium are still as vivid as anything I've witnessed.
Thanks for making this thread. It brought back one of my fondest memories.
