Big Two!!!! :nana:
I was pretty pleased with what I saw from the Diamond Dawgs this weekend other than Woodruff's continuing struggle and Wes Rea's inability to swing at a curve ball with 2 strikes on him. Great opening weekend crowd, great to see the fans get behind this team. Special things can happen with this bunch. Our bullpen appears to be solid again this year and we looked good in the field. Hopefully the "hits in bunches" will come soon enough. Didn't get to see the game yesterday but it looks like the bats might have come to life a little.

Change to Weekend Baseball Schedule

The weather has caused Hofstra to have trouble getting to Starkville for the 4-game series this weekend. It is being reported on GP that they won't be arriving to Starkville until mid-afternoon, at earliest, tomorrow so the 4:00 game is going to be pushed back until 8:00 tomorrow night or possibly to Sunday afternoon.

They said if they do play tomorrow night at 8:00, the 11:00 game Saturday will be pushed back until sometime Saturday afternoon. I assume they will play at 2:30 then 30 minutes after the conclusion of that game.

However, there is supposedly a chance for some rain tomorrow night so it probably makes more sense to just play double-headers on Saturday and Sunday, depending on what time Hofstra has a to catch a flight back on Sunday.
State's invite must have gotten lost in the mail ... :rotflmao:

But in all seriousness this is a pretty cool idea. I assume each school will play a different opponent in each city?

This is retarded LSU, USCjr and Mississippi St all have shitty basketball programs so they will say baseball, the rest will say basketball.

I definitely see where you are coming from, and expected this to be said sooner or later, but even when Mississippi State basketball was "good", I still preferred baseball over basketball.
If anybody from Mississippi State, maybe Kent Hull
Might be easier to list who we haven't lost to.

Bill Bradsky
Now Collins be like ...

Neither of these two involve State but I went with some buddies who had an extra ticket to the Ole Miss/Florida game in the Swamp in 2008, then I also went to the Oklahoma/Missouri game at Missouri in 2010 when Missouri beat #1 Oklahoma. Both were really good games.
2001 - State got their aces handed to them by the mighty Troy State (Yes, they were still Troy State back then) Trojans. Gave TSU their first win over a D1 opponent. Also, tornado sirens went off after one of the TSU's touchdowns, and I was sitting all the way at the top of DWS. Fun times.

The 3-2 game was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this thread on the board. It was absolutely miserable.

Finally. Enough of this basketball nonsense.

This
Can we please call it an official game and not play the 2nd half?
