I don't know why some blogger and a few fans mention his name. Maybe because they think he can recruit and will get different results than what he is doing now. But the is the usual pattern of the Fruit of the Month Club Member. Believe me, I have seen it too many times.

This thread is becoming hilarious!
We got Kentucky and Auburn fans falling all over themselves trying to rationalize why Pearl won't become the next Louisville coach!
Fellas! We all know that Auburn folks would off themselves in droves if Pearl packed up and slipped out of town on y'all, AND Wildcat fans want NO part of a guy in Louisville that'll do what ever it takes to become a force in Kentucky and the nation again!
If it DOES happen, they'll have to call the fire dept. to this site!

Under normal circumstances Pearl would absolutely go to Louisville because Louisville is a better job but Louisville currently is facing sanctions, doesn't have an AD, and doesn't have a President.

I wouldn't sweat it - I don't think he'll leave for Louisville

I don't know of a single Auburn person who is worried that Bruce will ever leave Auburn.

Haters are gonna hate....regardless of how illogical their reasoning is.

Downvote away, but I GUARANTEE Bruce will retire at Auburn. Whether or not he wins a NC remains to be seen, but he has literally built Auburn into exactly what he wants and is now enjoying the fruits of his success.

NO PROBLEM! Pearl just got AU four years probation and had to sit out two games himself.

I know he smelled like week-old cum when he took the Auburn job, but so did Auburn, and look what he did for them.
Let's face it, Auburn (by hiring him), and Louisville (by their many dubious acts) have proven that they don't care what he does, just so long as he wins....and he does win.

Ah yes, Moron Mike here once flaunting how unbelievably ignorant IT is.

One would think that someone who experienced the birth of college athletics in the second half of the nineteenth century would at least be somewhat knowledgeable on the topic.

You however, are able to quickly dispel any such notions.

Congrats!!!

I don't get the aubsession from UK. First Cal and now their beat writers can't seem to let what happened Saturday go. My best guess is there's a recruit that is at play but with the way Cal has elite talent waiting for an offer even that doesn't make complete sense. It's odd but in a strange way I'm kind of digging the attention.

Isn't there alot of stuff/scandal/controversy going on with Louisville's board, too? I think I remember you being in a conversation about that on the OT a while back.

Especially after this season Pearl is getting a raise and whatever else he wants with or without Louisville.

It would be smart on Auburn's part to wait until "after this season" to give him a raise and an extension. The last think they need to do is handle this like they did the 2017 Gus Malzhan's one sided guaranteed contract & raise.

IOW, assure Bruce he will be taken care of and wait until the season concludes before they ink the deal.

It’s settled some at this point but their previous President was scamming the University out of money, the previous Governor fricked with the board to the point it put their accreditation in jeopardy, and there’s been a bunch of other financial scandals within the administrative department.

And that’s not even touching on what happened under Jurich and Pitino in the AD.

Then both the last President and AD peaced out a few weeks ago.

It’s a huge mess.

ETA: The Courier-Journal list of scandals under the previous President (Ramsey) and a lot of them have resulted in financial hits.

You’re welcome. The resident Cards fan will probably be back in here to say it’s all made up and it’s UK plants that are taking them down. So figured I’d provide a link as well.
