Sounds a lot like Trent Johnson

Regardless that's not the point. We cannot accept being mediocre just because we are scared of being worse with somebody else

This.

I don't understand the mentality that OM should not fire AK because we can't find anyone better. If we hire a terrible coach, then guess what, we are in the same position we are in right now, i.e. not in the NCAA tournament.

I can live with trying to better your program and failing. I can't live with accepting it is garbage because we are scared

Honestly if mediocre for Ole Miss basketball is being 19-7 (8-5) 4th in the SEC and on the NCAA tournament bubble, then you guys are in for a rude awakening if AK gets canned

Trust me winning 20-23 games is far better than going 7-18.

The NIT is great for a couple of years. But for most of a decade? Expectations change in a fanbase. I.E. Stansbury, Rick

THIS

I guess Ole Miss basketball fans all of a sudden expect to be Florida or Kentucky.

True that.

Give Rick some time though, he literally is working with one of the worst rosters in D1 basketball and is only one game outside of not being last in the SEC. There are always studs that come out of the state of MS each year too

No doubt, but success in college basketball is measured by tournament appearances. If winning 20-23 games each year and being one of the first teams out was considered being successful, then there would already be statues dedicated to Kennedy outside the Tad Pad.

AK is Ole Miss' all time winningest HC

Rod Barnes made a sweet 16 but also had 4 straight losing seasons, does that make him a better coach than AK who has never made the tourney or had a losing season either ?

I respect where you Ole Miss fans are coming from, and everyone wants a change to get over the "hump", but it is a very strong possibility that Ole Miss will be similar to State if they fire AK. Instead of wanting to win a SEC title and NCAA bid every now and then you'll be ecstatic to finish in the top half of the conference and have a winning record

Kennedy's demeanor makes it worse IMO. He's complained about fan support for years then proceeds to shite the bed. Our fans have every right to demand more. It's a two way street.

AK deserves one more year IMO. JMHO

And as the LSU fan said who can you get better? FWIW AK actually hired Michael White and gave him his first real coaching gig
