And what the hell do you think is gonna happen next year when Murph, Buckner, among others are gone? This was AK's shot, his best team by far as well as the SEC being way down. It is inexcusable and I cannot be convinced otherwise. If we make a big run and somehow make the tournament I'll still want him fired. But you know what? There's no shot in hell of that happening, because AK sucks. Period.

My thoughts exactly dude.

I dont hate the guy, but it is what it is. Like you said, the SEC is so so down this year and this was his best team, or supposed to be anyway.

It is no coincidence that AK's record in Feb is 21-28. 21 and fricking 28. You know that that means ladies and gents? That by February, year in and year out, opposing teams have scouted and routed AK and everything he does both offensively and defensively.

21-28 in February. Think about that for a minute.

We were living off Henderson earlier in the year when he was still a bit of an unknown, but once teams figured out that they just had to stay all over his arse and shut him down we were helpless. No adjustments have been made, and we stay around the perimeter passing around and trying to get looks to Marshall, and when that fails snoop or summers will drive down the lane wildly and trow up a pitiful shot. All the while we have two of the best big men in the league sitting under the basket and we simply don't use it to our advantage. Murph and Buck get most of their points from putbacks after pathetic shot selections from the others. I don't even want to get into the defense.

I don't consider myself a basketball expert, but this is what I'm seeing. The most glaring issue is discipline. It's simply non existent.

Exactly and look what firing Stans got us ..... 7-18

Well, I'd rather at least something unexpected happen than the usual bullshite of "Holy shite, what a start! This year we're finally making the tournament" to "OK, we're bringing back a ton of players, so surely next year is our year." This has been going on for 6 god damn years. I'd rather take a risk in getting greatness than being completely assured of barely missing the tournament every year.

Okay well let's say you fire Kennedy. Who do you get?

Either someone who can get us to the NCAA championship or someone who can't. I already know that Kennedy is someone who can't get us there. There's no reason why we shouldn't fire him unless our goal as a team is to win the NIT, which is actually worse than losing the first round of the NIT.

I've been pretty lenient with AK. But tonight really pisses me off. No reason to lose that game.

I wonder what hiring Michael White would do for Ole Miss.

Honestly if mediocre for Ole Miss basketball is being 19-7 (8-5) 4th in the SEC and on the NCAA tournament bubble, then you guys are in for a rude awakening if AK gets canned

I don't give a baker's frick about the record. I care about getting to that fricking tournament. Kennedy will never ever get us there. So he needs to be fired. I don't care anymore if he goes 20-4 and 0-24 and doesn't get to the NCAA tournament. The season is a failure if he doesn't get us there, and I'm sick of him and his thuggish bullshite.
