But what you're doing is attacking the opinion of an outsider--something you've repeatedly said "doesn't matter," which is why I asked the question.

We're discussing the effects improprieties can/would have a national title perceptions. LSU wasn't accused of improprieties. And the '07 title will forever have an asterisk next to it since LSU is the first two-loss team to win it. But it's not a reputationally damaging asterisk. It was done as fairly as possible under the current system.
And to your point, perception (i.e. smoke) is reality in the court of public opinion. Sorry.

You guys can ho-hum all day in Auburn, but everyone else more or less refuses to give the accomplishment much weight.
It's been relegated to an accomplishment recognized almost exclusively by AU fans. But as fans, what good is that? We all think our respective programs are the shite. So in a way, AU is no different than teams that haven't won a BCS title because its viewed by most in the same light.
It just kind of sucks.
I really don't care what you or anyone else thinks. Unless someone can actually PROVE Auburn cheated, then you can go frick yourself and your opinions.

You're right imaginary ones or ones "earned" after failing to win your division or losing games to Kentucky and Arkansas are much more highly regarded.
