Wanna know why Alabama fell so flat against Auburn the following week? It's because that defense left everything on the field to keep that game close. Alabama's defense played one of their best games that year, if not better than holding Texas Tech to what 10 points? LSU was a much better team, end of story.

It's not an argument based on numbers, but what I remember seeing on the field. I was just hoping to hold on all game.

Prothro was injured...That's why we lost.

Dunno, it's just similar to the "shitty QB" excuses, so I used it.

Probably. If the defense plays that well. It was maybe Shula's finest game in terms of coaching. Well, the Florida game that year was a sight to see, but you still have to question Prothro being that late.

I never said that we were the better team. The LSU fans with the excuses about having a shitty QB and they still took us into OT this season...

Just firing back. 07 JPW handed them the ball on a silver platter on the 3 yard line for them to win. They soon forget things like that until it happens to them, then they have excuses.

And Bama fans did same thing on this site after that game. Its a revolving circle, no team actually loses it always someone/something else's fault.

Sort of like your last 7 coaches?

How many times has Bama lost 5 games or more over those last 25 years????

Since 90% of these so called gump fans were in diapers, teenagers or young adults?

That would be 12 times, virtually every other year.

Saban averages 3 losses per year.
Look on the bright side, it's an improvement.

Enjoy your delusion.

And there are plenty in Crimson, who have no other choice but to come to a LSU site, and display stupidity.

You, of all people, should know that.

I question where there offense will be coming from also. I expect the SEC to be more competitive than last year; therefore, I don't see Alabama lighting it up on offense like his scores might lead one to believe.

There defense will be tough, but I expect LSU, Ole Miss, Arkansas, and VT to all have pretty good offenses.

He then just assumes Alabama gets an easy win in the Iron Bowl which is just flat out dumb. I expect Alabama will have an average at best offense. I think if there is anything to expect from auburn it is that it will have a good defense.

He assumes all the time.

That's why he was fired in Louisiana.

And he's never got over that.

He hates Louisiana for many reasons, one, because of the fiasco in Shreveport, and I recently heard he evidently failed at a attempt to get on in
New Orleans (a supposed WNOE shot in 1988 blew up and no one wanted to even talk to him on 870 WWL)

Even on WFNZ in Charlotte most who have heard of him think he's a complete idiot, and an insult to real sports talk show hosts.

Again, all the gumps can deny it, but he's not
good enough to be anywhere else but where he is right now.

BT, you are a fricking idiot if you think PF is pro-bama, or that people in Alabama think he is anything more than the Howard Stern of sports radio.

Actually you are a fricking idiot either way, along with being a quitter, a welcher, a liar, a thief, and a no showing chickenshit.

I expect Bama to be top 2 in SEC in rushing yards, and near bottom in passing yards.
With that being said, I do believe they have #1 defense in SEC and still win 9/10 games.

I don't. While I don't really care how good or how bad the Tide offense will be in 2009, I'm not expecting much.

First off, you don't get better by losing two All Americans of your o-line. Or your all-time leading passer. Or your starting RB from last year.

There's no way to go but down with losses like that. I expect the Tide offense to finish middle of the pack at best.

Secondly, LSU is going to be very good next year. Good enough to not have to worry about how good the opposition is.

With the right breaks, LSU could run the table next year.

shite I wrote a response to this and then TD had to lag out multiple times....

Here are key points:
1.) LSU does not yet know what it has in JJ, he has not gone through an SEC schedule. He looked impressive against GT but had a month to game plan for the game and GT is not an SEC defense.
2.) LSU is still unsure on defense, we (being LSU fans) talked up the defense last year. With Beckwith, RJF, Tyson Jackson, Woods, all coming back we assumed they would put pressure on a QB and cause havoc. That did not happen so just cause we brought in a bigger name DC does not automatically equal improvement. I wanna see what they look like in an actual game not what I assume they will be this year.
3.) Bama lost 2 offensive lineman LSU lost 2 offensive lineman. Yet we assume Charles Scott will be fine. Ingram is better than Coffee and would have started over him had he returned. Ingram will easily get 1200 yards this year maybe more.
4.) Bama will only want their QB to throw for around 150 yards a game and limit his INT's. Their defense will be top of SEC again.
5.) Anyone can go undefeated with right breaks. Bama did last year till Florida game. Any team can if a ball bounces just the right way during a game, or a QB makes the wrong read. Luck is involved in all sports, you just have to accept that.
LSU was lucky to play in the 2 NC's we played in this year. By people losing ahead of us and some friendly computers.

The yellow back liar writes at 0233 AM:

'

And how sad is this.

Dude, for a married man, it appears you lead a very empty life. 0233 and you find a need to post
about PF and insult me. Must be another bad night for you.

Sucks to be you, I guess.

Guess the meds are in full action, or the wife ran out the door again, looking for a real man.
Who the frick knows or cares.

MEMEAUX:

Only a complete chickenshit would write the things you do, at 0233 AM. It's actually laughable at this point, because I have no interest in you. I already told you unless
you show your face, I have nothing to say to a complete fraud, which you are.

And since we all know the truth on the board,
your insults and big boy attitude simply hold no water anymore.

No one cares.

Since there's no way in hell you're chickenshit arse is going to show (yet again) this weekend, I'm not going to waste my time with a worthless piss ant like you.

There are simply better posters to answer to than you. You;re a complete dumb frick and have no clue about Alabama or LSU football, much less life.

Now, go look in the mirror, little piss ant
boy, and figure out where you went wrong.

Make sure you say hello to the wife for me, provided she still lives with you.

Maybe. Really should have been up by more than 10 at halftime. With that said,LSU moved the ball up and down the field in the second half and should have won in regulation.

In 07 we should have beat you.

Had we not had 85 penalties (which was inexcusable) we would have won that game by 21 or more. Alabama was lucky as hell to be in that game. You can blame JPW all you want, but LSU would have gotten the ball back anyway and probably have scored. Plus that was pitiful punt coverage on Arenas. Had RJF not gotten that stupid late hit on Wilson on a 3rd and long incompletion up 17-3, LSU blows Alabama out.

Take your "gutty" moral victory and just be happy with it for 2007.
