Rebs also played 3 out of the 12 teams in the playoffs and went 2-1.

That one loss to GA we had the lead early in the 4th quarter..before the wheels came off.

That's some nice spin to count Tulane as a quality win.

It's such a joke that Tulane and JMU are in this

This is the biggest issue of the playoff committee, yet the majority of the internet is complaining about Bama. 116 strength of schedule and even sniffing a playoff berth is a joke

Because you were all talking shite when you hadn't played any strong teams, and then you played the strong teams, you lost, and as a result of playing the stronger teams your SoS increased. I mean that's the entire point people were pointing out your weak SoS to start with. To say you haven't played anyone yet. Now you can say you have played a tough schedule, and an 8-4 record to go with it.

I’m sure we have some idiots who crowed prematurely but most of us had realistic expectations. I thought our ceiling was 9-3 so I’m not surprised we finished 8-4, especially with our qb issues.

My point remains, though.

SOS is unknowable until at least very late in the season. Look how many preseason top 10 and top 25 teams finished unranked.

It’s a joke and a scam.

We had LSU, South Carolina, and Florida on our schedule, they were supposed to be good.

Make fun of them for sucking

It changes every week based on how hard the teams you've played are.

When you play easy teams, it ranks you low. When you play some tough teams, it moves you up. As the season went on, you played some tougher teams and your SoS ranking increased.

That's how it should work.

Thanks for beating LSU and getting the losses rolling so we could take your best coach in program history

My issue with IU is Cignetti openly brags about playing the weakest OOC possible.

I get it, but why it happens doesn't really mean too much.

Last year Texas played the weakest schedule in the SEC. This year they played the same SEC schedule(and added Ohio St which was a big boost) and they have the #2 SEC schedule. They were #1 for regular season only SoS.

#1 Wisconsin
#2 Ohio State
#3 Oregon

I call bullshite. Fails the common sense eye test given the remainder of the list.

If you believe BYU played a tougher schedule than Oklahoma, Georgia, Tennessee, and Missouri… Well, then bless your heart I guess.
Hey now, they are constantly fighting the urge to drink, smoke and take off the magic underwear and get their freak on.

Whats tougher than that?

I agree with you: those rabid MU fans who posted here ad nauseam were, indeed, idiots. And the Tigers looked pretty darned good before their q-back got injured. A promising season can change radically at the drop of a hat.

I'll readily admit I had no idea what to expect from my team this year after its debacle of a 2024 season. Intelligent/educated fans never over-hype their team. I believe that shows you are an intelligent/educated fan.

I get it, for real.

Even at his best, Pribula was a step back from Cook. He never found a rhythm.

Mizzou could have gone 10-2. They were close. But they didn’t.

So yeah, I’m rational, but I get really tired of preseason rankings that are super biased and silly SOS arguments mid-season.

The only reason anyone would bring up your SoS mid season is because your fans were talking trash.

You think you should be higher?

Seems reasonable to me.

Haven’t seen many posters who don’t talk some trash.
