I was born in Arkansas to two people who met at the University of Arkansas.

I have two degrees from the University of Arkansas. I was born and raised a Razorback fan.

But now, five decades deep into my life, and with the Razorbacks on a 20-game SEC losing streak, I am feeling something different in my soul.

I feel hate, loathing and contempt for the Razorbacks.

While I have never been divorced, I imagine is it very similar to the feelings of a man who said "I do" to the woman of his dreams, only to see it end in contempt, hate, acrimony, ugliness, and messed-up child visitation requirements after a divorce several years later.

I now find myself actively rooting AGAINST the Hogs and reveling in their humiliation and defeat.

I took PLEASURE in watching Western freaking Kentucky clobber Arkansas last year, and have watched ZERO snaps of Arkansas football since.

I can't imagine when I will again watch a single play of an Arkansas football game.

I now also take PLEASURE in needling and poking other Arkansas fans, and trying to make their misery even more miserable.

The other truth I'm almost ashamed to admit is this:

The ONLY thing I "feel" for college football, for years now, is the tinglies and warm satisfaction I get when some team I HATE loses. That's it. Noting more.

This amount of hate, loathing, ill-will, contempt, and general negativity convince me it's probably time to take a break from college football.

Hell, I quit the NFL 20 years ago. Can't remember when I quite MLB.

Losing sucks. I know, I have seen UK do it many, many times.

Joker Phillips and his after math were painful to watch and it took two 2-10 seasons and several years without a bowl game to get out of the funk. Stoops first game we got beat by Western Kentucky. It was awful
But it was worth the wait to see us start winning games again.

Don't give up on your team.

Arkasulli, you won't get to.

I melted out about halfway through Chad Morris' first season.

FRICK Arkansas.

I hope they go O-fer 2020.

Great chance they will, too!

TheCheshireHog, I quit the NBA after the Allen-Iverson led "Dream Team" stunk up the Olympics in 2004.

I so successfully ignored the NBA that a random TV commercial four years ago surprised me with the information that there was a team called the "New Orleans Pelicans" or some such thing.

Being an Arkansas fan, I don’t mind losing to SEC teams. It is the way you lose that I dislike. Giving up and not continue to work hard when down big in the 4th quarter, that is the stuff I turn off. Just show some pride. Arkansas will eventually come around and another SEC will take our spot. We will keep rotating it to perpetuity.

It's ok, I kind of think you are on to something in a sinister Needful Things voice.

HogsOfWar, come stay with us for a while. I have a nice bar in my house loaded with every liquor you can name. Even have a large wine rack loaded with only good wines like Caymus and Opus One , Jordan or Lewis Reserve etc.

We can drink and I’ll share my memories of some bad MSU teams. You need some good companionship to help you through these trying times.

For A&M, it's a bitter custody fight in which we are trying to make sure that the ex is stuck with Mond.

You may grow to love your football team again. You will hate your ex-wife forever! Take my word for it.

Don't be such a bitch. Just enjoy the game and don't derive any self worth from it. It's weird that people do. I enjoy watching the razorbacks play football. Win or lose.

Is one of the team's you hate Auburn? Because I want to hope two good old Arky baws, Tubbs and Gustav, have been a major contributor to your current mental illness.
