Shelby County, Tennessee is all kinds of bullshite.
The whole map is bullshite
There are more GA Tech fans in Fulton County than there are Bama
there are certainly more Ole Miss fans in Shelby County TN than Bama
And there are more UGA fans in Jefferson County AL than there are UAB
Also - UGA is way more than 7% in Duval County FL
I don't know how they did their sampling, but the counties I know about look way wrong

UNT carrying 12% less than UT and more than A&M and OU in Denton County was funny as shite to me. I have literally never met a UNT fan or student or noticed their car stickers or fan gear a single time in my entire life

Texas doesn't even come close to owning Houston. That is based off of Facebook likes as opposed to reality.

unless I'm missing something this map says UNC carries no counties?

Also UH having more than any number of schools, especially LSU, in Houston. Lol

Thinking Fresno state carries anything in California is the funniest thing of all

LSU has more fan support in Houston than the LGBT cows.

That's what it shows.]
SBNation is working on contacting NYT to find out why UNC is not represented.

yes, I see it, but what stuck out the most to me was the word "data" followed by "facebook likes" and then I knew they missed half the adult population of every county in the country.

Never realized MSU owned the state of Mississippi like that. I always thought OM was #1

I am not seeing UNC in the top 3 in any counties - yeah, this map is totally legit...

The Ducks have one disappointed bandwagon in NorCal this morning.

A significantly larger number of in-state kids go to State, and tend to stay in state. So, alumni-wise, State has a decent majority.

Obviously the methodology is not perfect, but this is quite interesting. Surprising how much it shows Miss St ruling Miss, Duke over NC, and SC over Clemson.

1)I can't believe they forgot to include UNC in the map.
2)I didn't realize their we had a decent size Nole fan base in Southern Alabama.
3)GaTech and Clemson representation on this map seems a little on the low side. I don't expect a Majority or anything just more than whats shown on the map.
4) Hail State Apparently. They have a surprising amount of the Mississippi fan base.
5) UCLA is like a dot on the map.

Its still LA so their are a lot of UCLA fans.
6) The state of Florida seems about right.
