Great topic and post on your part, gamecockman12.

The ones that stand out to me ...

2008 - UGA - Shitters overflowed. Georgia fans cannot watch a game without being completely blitzed out of their minds. Some of the fans were crying at halftime. Other than that, whoever said Athens is the best college town, I think as party is concerned, they're right! Btw, I lived one county over at the time, so it was not a "trip" for me and I've gone to a number of Georgia games watching them against other teams. Almost always a great time. But damn ... must you be so drunk?

2009 - Auburn - Obnoxious even with no chance really to contend. Very pissed that we won. Hard to enjoy the tailgating. Auburn fans are some miserable fricks in their own element. Maybe if we weren't Bama fans it would be different. I guess I'll never know.

2010 - LSU - Piss balloons. Otherwise fans were behaved (was an afternoon game IIRC and they won). I got a lot of free beer.

2011 - Florida - Over confident fans who literally exploded after the first play from scrimmage TD by Florida. But ... they were pretty much quiet after that. It was cool to go to the swamp (my first time there) but their fans at their house are terrible and not hospitable at all. Their travel fans are fantastic. Very knowledgeable about football.

2012 - LSU - Some very drunk and pissed off LSU fans. Really fricking pissed. Hard to enjoy this one. Some fellow Bama fans a few cars over had flat tires after the game.

2014 - Ole Miss - You would have thought they had won the Super Bowl or something. Yeah, the Grove is overrated but the women are incredible. And drunk. And that makes them even more incredible. Most Ole Miss fans are pretty cool. Some are snobs though and I have no idea why.

2016 - Tennessee - Crowd was somewhat nervous. They had been hyped up but knew there was no chance against Bama. Tennessee folks are really nice though, too bad I hate their team so much. Fulmer's fault. Their fans are actually great people. Got some free beer here and some ribs.

Best- a&m. Most gracious and welcoming fans of anybody in the sec. Great atmosphere for games. Great stadium. Great bbq.

Worst- LSU. Fans are awful. The most crude, rude, vile folks ive ever seen. Now that I'm a father its off my list of road games. Not in a million years would I take my kids there.

I had a great time at LSU. Only place I’ve had even a bit of an issue was Florida, and it was nothing egregious.

Only went to Bama last year and it was alright. It really depends on who you go with and how outgoing they are. The town was cool. I liked the strip and their campus is nice. Tailgating is nothing special at all. Galettes was cool and the yellowhammers are good. All and all it was a cool town but it’s strictly business there. They are all about FB. The food is average. They don’t party hard like BR. LSU could be 8-4, get blown out and people would still be partying all day and into the night, that’s just how we roll in the boot.

Fayetteville, AR was a total blast even though Arky kicked UF's arse that game (2016).

Dixon st. the Friday night was a good time. Also, lots of cool historic parks and trails outside the city. Pregame was kinda subdued, but actually was nice to get to chat with local folks. Liked the stadium a lot, some cool views. Beautiful part of AR.

Been to Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Tennessee, UGA, Auburn, and Missouri.

Georgia is a great college town. Cool place.

I like the setting around the stadium at Tennessee with the river. I also like Calhouns.

Missouri sucks. frick them.

I did not realize until recently that Carolina was playing at Ole Miss, I look forward to that one.

I feel like it doesn’t get a lot of love but I went to Florida last year and I have nothing but good things to say. Nice talent. Good bar scene right next to campus. Good enough tailgating. Ending up getting an invite to a suite. It was a little dated but first class all the way.

. LSU (2012): Definitely the most fun I've had on a road trip. Staying in New Orleans Thursday/Friday nights and driving down early Saturday morning for the game that evening was awesome. Fans were great. A lot of alcohol and smack talk, but that's what college football is all about. They're a fun bunch.

Same for me. Have been to several AU games at LSU and always my fav. Stay in NOLA Fri night, get in bed at 4am. Get up at noon, drive over to tailgate and the game, back to NOLA Sat night. Good times

As long as the weather is decent leading up to the game, I’d like to check out Arkansas this season. Heard a lot about Dickson street and it seems like a cool town overall. Hopefully the game isn’t a boring atmosphere and both teams are playing for something still.

Everyone seems to love the LSU trip because you can get a night or two in Nola in too then head to br for a long day of tailgating then a one of a kind stadium experience. I hope our a hole fans leave y’all be and y’all find the good fans because there’s plenty of friendly LSU folks out there who’d love to have visitors. They wanna feed you good food, get you drunk and mess with you a little bit all in good fun.

All things considered, I had the most fun in Athens..but if I had just gone for the game, no tailgating, no going out afterwards it would have been different.

Anyone saying Athens hasn't been barked at or spit on. For that, I apologize. I will make it up to you next time you are in Athens.

Have found the good and bad ones. Have been fed and given drinks at tailgates and tiger baited in good fun.

Also had drinks rained down on us after AU won a game in TS back in the 90s I was at.

Lot more good than bad and the best tailgating around.

Yea LSU fans are a big mixed bag. We have a lot of shite heads and a lot of good guys. It’s the luck of the draw whether you get one or the other. I can speak for myself, as long as the visiting fan isn’t talking shite for no reason and they’re just enjoying themselves, I am always open to showing them a good time. Typically young people are the ones who can’t handle their booze and act an arse. The older crowd is more friendly and still has a good time.
