So what are these motives of his? What is he gaining?

What if you car really needs $1,500 and instead of listening you call him a crook and leave?

Sure, but you don't let military commanders decide who we need to go to war with do we? We don't let military commanders decide what the budget is going to be for their use do we?

Because if you leave it up to people like that, all they know is more, more, more. Oh we could have the best soldiers in the world, if we start training them at birth and put all our resources towards that 1 goal without regard to everything else in life.

And you in your little comparison here. Fauci would be one of the top mechanics in the US so you should prob listen to him when he says your car needs $1500 worth of repairs.

What's your personal conspiracy theory for why Fauci is a full-of-shite con man instead of a public servant attempting to do his job to the best of his ability?

Does he or his family has business ties to remdesivir or a potential vaccine?

Did he collaborate with the WHO to cover up information in China for some unspecified, nefarious reason?

Is he politically motivated in making Trump look bad despite serving under three past Republican administrations?

Good question. Maybe he hates Trump, maybe he loves attention, maybe he stands to profit financially. Lots of possibilities but we know his words and the facts are so far misaligned it's not even funny.

I've been driving for over 20 years, get my oil changed probably every 7-8k miles (3k is a joke). I have never taken my oil change in without mention of another problem, have never allowed them to do any of their recommended repairs and have never had an issue with a car. Yes, it's possible one day my car might break down on the side of the road but the odds are highly in my favor. Just like it's possible if we don't listen to Fauci's chicken little shite a few more people may get sick but the risk is minimal and the loss from keeping everything shut down just gets greater with every passing day.

I reject the comparison between social distancing guidelines and stay-at-home mandates and war

So basically you have no evidence, no idea, and really no thought on the matter of how he is gaining anything from this.

Do we? Can you provide some context so I can educate myself? Maybe some shred of evidence other than the thoughts bouncing in the air between your ears.

Again. My experience, facts, and reason tell me otherwise and I've never been proven wrong. The sheep like you are how they get away with it.

Another anecdotal story. Never had a cavity growing up. Went off my parents insurance stopped going to the dentist for like 3 years. Went back one day, told me I had 12 cavities. Lol right. Didn't go back for two my years. Went in they said I had 3 cavities.

Been telling me for almost 30 years if I don't get my wisdom teeth out I'm gonna be in big trouble lol.

Point being "experts" are often full of shite when they stand to profit and it's remarkable people don't see it.

I thought the same thing as a teenager and then my wisdom teeth started to crown and I was in a lot of pain. So your anecdotal evidence is just that.

but yet you cant even come up with an idea on how he is profiting.

It's either some form of alternative motivation or he's a moron/liar. We've rejected the notion that he's a moron so there's only one alternative.

I'm sorry, your interest in this thread made me believe you had been following along the last couple of months.

So you just go around paying mechanics because of "what if"?

Personally I would look at what they were talking about to decide on my own if it's needed.

This actually has happened many times. I got my oil changed about a year or so ago. They are like "You need a new air filter". My response - I just replaced that one less than 10,000 miles ago.

I've needed new brakes for 2 years now according to some of these places. Yeah I know they are getting a little low and I expect they'll need to be replaced in the next year(finally).

Do you think I trusted him on the other things he claimed needed to be done? Or do you think they were just hoping I didn't know anything about cars and wanted to prey on me using their "expertise"

I might trust Fauci more if he wasn't one of the people pushing out false numbers. When these high mortality rates were being pushed by the media, why wasn't this expert pointing out that the real number was much lower?

He already has a history of supporting and pushing out policies based on false information. False information that he should have known was false and corrected.

For me, that's like my air filter. If I know that part is bullshite, why would I trust the source beyond that?

If you thought it was a comparison between those things, then you're a dumbass and it doesn't really matter what you reject.

I still have my wisdom teeth.

Although I was never told they needed to be removed, I do know most everyone is told they do.

It's incredible that people, between a lifelong public servant who is considered one of the top experts in his field and has served under bipartisan leadership for almost forty years and a billionare who was a reject of the NY elite and rose to power through obfuscating details about his own credentials, believe that the former is the politically/financially motivated one

Maybe he's not the person you need to be asking these questions about.

If he's such an expert and so trustworthy, why did he push false mortality rates and tell people to make decisions based on those rates?

I'm just a programmer who does a lot of work with stats. By some miracle I was easily able to see the error and false numbers.

Also not sure why you felt the need to add a false dichotomy and suggest that if you don't trust Fauci, you must be listening to Trump.

If you are trying to use [unrelated] anecdotal evidence in an argument about a global pandemic, then you are too dumb to even waste time with.

We all know you didn’t graduate from Auburn now at least.

Everyone just ignore this tinfoil hat troll.

You absolutely were comparing them in the sense that you were suggesting that they're similar in that "experts" shouldn't dictate public policy in both respects

But there's a reason why our government's war powers are very clearly laid out and why our government's ability to issue public health recommendations aren't

What false mortality rates did he push? Because giving a potential mortality rate if we exercised no preventative measures at all, then adjusting that rate after preventative measures isn't "false". It's adjusting for variables.
