In most years a single game is all that is necessary, this is such a year as only 2 teams were above the rest. A 4 team playoff gets a step further when you have 3 instead of 2 in real debate. After 4 you are just arguing for a team that was not good enough in the first place but because it may be your team, you want an unwarranted 2nd chance.

Should definitely be expanded, but not too much.

What does it take for people on this board to recognize (and ignore) mindless trolling, as was done by the OP, UCFACTS4LIFE, et.al????
I REALLY wish stupid trolling threads would be deleted and/or ignored totally. The forum would be much more interesting imo. All this trolling and mindless reactions to it gets pretty tiresome...

I don't like it. It seems that the playoff is forcing a shift from "who is having the best season" to "who has the best team". UCF has had 2 undefeated seasons, but the committee doesn't even think they are worthy of a top 4 seeding. Obviously they don't view the G5 as worthy of being in FBS, so why are they even in FBS?.
I can see if there are 4 undefeated P5 conference champion schools, then sure, piss off UCF. But last year bama didnt even win their division and made it in over UCF. Sure, bama would destroy UCF, but If UCF can't make the playoff over a team that hasn't even won their conference, then they aren't ever going to make it and they should create a new division for G5 to compete in.

I think with the exception of this year they got the 4 teams right.
Just looking at the lines of the games tells you they missed on two of the teams.
