I blame Auburn for this, LSU better put an end to it.

I would like just 2, but 4 is OK.

I get you are undefeated, but these are your string of wins

2017

8-5 Florida International (CUSA) @ UCF
5-6 Georgia Tech (ACC) @ UCF || CANCELLED
4-8 Maryland (B1G) @ College Park, MD
10-3 Memphis (AAC) @ UCF
4-6 Maine (FCS school) @ UCF || CANCELLED
4-8 Cincinnati (AAC) @ Cincinnati, OH
3-9 East Carolina (AAC) @ UCF
7-6 Navy (AAC) @ Annapolis, MD
8-4 Austin Peay (FCS school) @ UCF
7-6 Southern Methodist (AAC) @ Dallas, TX
3-9 Connecticut (AAC) @ UCF
7-6 Temple (AAC) @ Philadelphia, PA
10-2 South Florida (AAC) @ UCF

11 regular seasons played || 0 against P5's with a pulse

10-3 Memphis (AAC) in AAC Championship game @ UCF
10-4 Auburn (SEC) in Peach Bowl

2017 = not CFP schedule and few teams with a pulse || 1 FCS and 1 CANCELLED

Imagine Alabama playing 11 regular season games with only 1 P5 team that was well below .500. Then they get to play the SEC CCG @ Tuscaloosa!

If you are a G5 and want respect
#1 Play 12 games
#2 Don't schedule a FCS school
#3 Schedule decent P5's (no Kansas types) for all your non AAC games

Vanderbilt plays your 2017 schedule and they go undefeated. Before you say you beat Auburn, remember Vanderbilt has a 21-21-1 record against Auburn.

I don't like it. It seems that the playoff is forcing a shift from "who is having the best season" to "who has the best team".
It has never been about who is having the best season, it has always been about the best team.

No one cares if ULM goes undefeated in the Sun Belt and schedules two G5 cupcakes and McNeese OOC.

No one cares except ULM fans, and they should not. They should not care if they do it three years in a row. Because we know what happens when they go to Alabama, or Auburn, or LSU, or Georgia, or UF....they get curbstomped.

Do y’all believe the 4 team “playoff” is fair and equitable for all stakeholders or does it need to be fixed? I’ll hang up and listen.

Before we had four we had two and with bowl tie ins. the system is improving and we will have eight soon. Those that don't make the cut will always cry, just like the BB tourney.

Yup, kinda like going to bat hard for UCF to have a spot in the playoff, and then in the same thread acknowledging that the third place SEC West team opponent should beat them comfortably. It sort of undermines the point about UCF "deserving" a spot in the play off, doesn't it?

The problem with the BCS was coaches gave the ranking task to somebody else because there is NO WAY to do both: be a coach for your team & watch EVERYBODY ELSE'S games to rank them non-biased.

First off, you can exclude every team but 6-10 every year. The season takes care of that. Then you look at the quality of the wins and go from there.

This is not hard. This year you had Clemson and Bama in without question.

Then the next three were OSU, ND, and Oklahoma.

Oklahomas loss was better than OSUs loss. That settles it.

Then you have to decide if ND deserves to be there. I am not sure they deserve to be there over OSU. But OSU should have thought about that before they got their shite pushed in.

Point being that you are only evaluating a few teams a year, not everybody.

UCF needs to put real schools on their schedule. What ever it takes. If they dont and they stay in that weak conference they are going to be victims perpetually. There is no way that UCF has a better schedule in the SEC than LSU or UF did....and these two teams are not even close to playoff material.

Yes, that is when the trolling became apparent.

Four teams is fair. UCF should have been included. Darren McFadden was way better then Kevin Smith. Hope this answers all your questions.

I like it more than the BCS but it still has flaws. If it went to 8 teams I'd be ok with it but that would have to be the max

Go to 8 teams and might as well give players a stipend and place salary caps on college teams.

I agree, but the system is flawed to favor big name programs. My main issue is non conference champions making the playoff. If you can't win your conference, you have no place in the playoff. IMO

For fricks sake. Get over yourselves. UCF has no shot at beating any of the 4 teams in the playoff

Carlisle Indian School

You are smarter than this

Carlisle was set up to be the Generals to the Ivy League Globtrotters. Problem is they got as coach a guy from Cornell named Warner and the experiment did not work out as planned. When CIS started beating people - especially when they had Jim Thorpe - they were quietly phased out as they were making the Ivy's look bad.

FWIW, Coach Warner may be a little more apparent when you know his nickname was "Pop" and is honored today in the form of Pop Warner football.

The BCS ranked ALL teams (supposedly) by the coaches votes. & that was almost for the entire season.

So, watch those games AND prepare your team for that week's game.....if you can.
