Professor Rickford was “exhilarated” and “energized” by the brutal murder of 1,200 innocent Israeli civilians. If a Cornell professor had stated he was ‘exhilarated’ after the KKK stormed into a small town and cut babies out of their mothers, they would be fired for their inappropriate and offensive conduct. Period. Instead, Professor Rickford was back on campus this semester.

Charley Pell was instrumental in getting the alumni involved in the Florida program and there are a bunch of big money farmers from Polk county. Ben Hill Griffin is one. Of course there are also a ton of Bull Gators from other places in Florida and the country, but the Polk county guys have been very central since the Pell days and even before then. The old guys were some good dudes but now I guess their kids are taking over, I don't know. I am not around it anymore since I live in Texas. theCAW probably grew up with some of their kids/grandkids.
I should say BHG WAS one. RIP BHG.
Ben Hill Griffin Jr., is who the stadium was named after. BHG III took over for a while and he has passed. Now I guess the grand kids are running the farm/business, IDK.

Given that no other school has accomplished that, id say 18 years isn’t that crazy of a timeline.
Especially when only about 10 schools have won national titles in football in the last 40 years and it’s a pretty similar number for basketball. 90% of schools aren’t competing for national championships ever.
