I'm not in East Texas? What does East Texas have to do with this? And East Texas might not be Shangri-La, but the 903 is a better version of North Louisiana in every way.

I've spent tons of time in both places. I've been to Norman maybe 200 times, and am going in a couple weekends to see family that's not doing too well. While I wish nothing but failure for OU Football, my family is deeply embedded in that community, and I do love Norman. I will say that Norman and College Station are remarkably similar, but College Station is definitely a lot nicer/newer/cleaner, especially within the last 10 years. Both places are quintessential college towns. What does it matter if Moore is a shithole right next to Norman? The only thing useful there is the really big movie theater and that got hit by the last tornado I believe. If you're a student in Norman, you're never going to leave your little confine, and that's nice for the students. Both places are pretty flat, with similar climates, but Norman is covered in that red dirty clay a lot which is kind of gross, but not really a big deal.

I spent three days in CS last December. It is full of new strip malls and generic chain eateries. It is not distinctive nor very interesting. And the campus, while big with many new buildings, looks like a government institution with no character.

A&M has some nice football facilities. From what I've seen, the campus in general has a mix of Cold War Russia and 21st century suburbia vibe going.

Your penis envy is sad. Can't help yourself but to bring up LSU/Louisiana in almost every post, without warrant. FYI, learn the difference between "revenue" and what is essentially an equity contribution sans the ownership rights.

That's not at all true. We have a lot of that "suburban office park" motif going on now.

I came in from Dallas and it was nothing for 2 hours then a gas station, and then a hotel on the main road to the stadium

hit up liquor store - wouldn't let me use restroom almost pissed on side wall of building. I then hit the campus stadium and tailgated with buddy

La Tech put up a good fight then lost - I sat in the bat filled uperdeck endzone. the other endzone wasn't enclosed and possibly had dog carcass in it?

I guess I should have explored more
