I mean I thought it might be a reference but you shouldn't joke around with a town that shitty. I'm not on here enough to pick out the inside jokes on a message board
Coonass kept trying to downplay Oxford because Starkville is so unbelievably shitty by saying Oxford is Grenada without a lake or some dumb shite.

I will admit that I've had some good times in BR

List looks pretty good. Fayetteville should be higher.

List looks pretty solid, but I'd have Fayetteville in the 5-8 range and put Baton Rouge lower. Some on this list just don't belong in the same grouping, and having Nashville #1 just doesn't seem legitimate, it's not a college town, it's a nice city.

Ok I gotcha. I think coach34 used to live in Grenada also.....I've heard his story a few times haha

Hot rich women....everywhere, plus a solid college bar scene.

I can't imagine it is an easy town for an out of towner to have fun in.
It is if you're over 21 because you can go to the bars at the overpass and downtown. For the under 21 crowd, it really does suck being stuck with bars like Reggie's if you want to have a good time.
BR's biggest issue, imo is that it's bars within walking distance of campus kinda suck. Tigerland is a dump and north campus doesn't really have much outside Barcadia and the Chimes (The Varsity is great for a musical venue). There also aren't many lodging options near campus outside of the Lod Cook Center and Staybridge (which isn't adjacent to many bars except by walking down busy dangerous roads to Tigerland or Bogies) and the other areas of town with hotels are either far from campus, far from bars, or both. It's just not as good as it should be. Throw in the psycho-ticketing BRPD and you've got a disappointing night out.

Yeah the LSU Foundation and Nutrition Center are happening soon. I'm sure everything else will follow
The River District is what will be across from Magnolia Mound, btw. The trolley will connect LSU's gateway development, the River District, Water Research Campus, & downtown
River District Rendering

However, the surrounding city is an abomination and calling it a ghetto would do justice.
Downtown Tuscaloosa has a brewery, about 10 new really nice restaurants, new anchor Embassy Suites Hotel, a bunch of really nice new bars (in addition to the old favorites down the strip, most of them) and an awesome new amphitheater.
The place has really become an incredibly nice place to hang out, from campus all the way down to downtown. It isn't Athens or Oxford, but it's really nice.
I will add Fayetteville is getting supremely underrated here. It's nice and is a great time.

I see lots of people who have been to Fayetteville get it.
I think it might be underrated by these people because there really is a huge part of the population of Fayetteville who really don't give a shite about college sports. Game days probably aren't strong when compared to the rest of the league. Liking sportsball ruins your hipster cred.

TTsTowel is probabaly hanging out in the West end ghetto when he comes to Tuscaloosa though, so he is clueless.

I went to F'ville in 2006 (the Tiffin clank game) and had a great time out and about on Friday night. Really pretty, really fun downtown scene. Just takes too long to get there.

I mean, of course Tuscaloosa has some rough zones. It's an actual city in the South. It has government housing and *gasp* black people that live in it too. For some reason that terrifies people from Auburn.
As harsh as it sounds even the run down areas are much nicer now due to the tornado. 15th Street has been basically completely redone (since a large chunk of it was destroyed) as has much of McFarland. And of course, like I mentioned, Downtown has become a really great spot.

Yeah its nice. Maybe Southwest will finally put flights into XNA soon. The airport is growing fast, along with everything else in NWA.

Have you spent a considerable amount of time in New Orleans? If so, how does Fayetteville's hipster crowd compare to the Crescent City's?
