My favorite stat is at this same time in their tenures Richt had a better overall record, had 2 SEC championships and had beat Nick Saban. Kirby is a worse version of Richt.
Mark Richt had an amazing start to his coaching career. Of course he was fired because he couldn’t win the SEC any more, was getting his arse kicked by Florida on the regular, and we had a roster that was 10 players below the 85 man limit…not because of his great start to his career.

Please tell us how Tennessee would do it.
Tennessee pushed toward and won a national championship. When they were out rostering teams they also paid coaches that could develop players and build teams. They used great teams to build toward a national championship team. Guys stayed instead of forgoing their SR year. Guys sat a year to develop and worked their way into a lineup instead of the program just recruiting over and playing freshman or guys that were not ready. From 1985-2003 the only time Tennessee didn’t have team continuity was when 2 QBs went down and true freshman Payton Manning (expected to redshirt) was forced into the lineup before he was ready. Great recruiting and solid player development with team over the individual was the norm.
Kiffin might have gotten it back he wasn’t ready or mature enough
Dooley was an emergency hire that set the program back
Jones was a player over team guy that had a toxic locker room
Pruitt just wasn’t stable enough
But every single one of them had a better staff than Kirby does today. Every single one understood the difference between building a team and building a program.

Dude, you should seriously never post again.......ever.............ever. Like never ever. My apologies if you're retarded.

Smart has clearly elevated them to the highest level the program has been at since early 80’s.
He hasn't done any better than Mark Richt.

If Georgia loses to Clemson, Florida, and Alabama this year, as well as not winning their division, does Smart's coaching seat start to warm up a little?
I personally don’t think we are losing to UF and not winning the division unless we have an epic run of injury issues this year. Having said that losing to Clemson and Bama this year would trend Kirby down with recruits and he would be gone by 2026 because we would no longer be able to recruit to compete with the best of the best in the SEC or the other 3 programs recruiting at a high level right now.
I am not going to sugarcoat it, but this is a big year from Kirby and UGA. He needs to win one of those games against Clemson and Bama, preferably both. If he does win both and gets UGA into the NC game again he won’t go anywhere for 15+ years considering playoff expansion and league expansion.
UGA’s concerns for 2021 season in order:
Rash of injuries to QB, DB, OL.
JT Daniel/Monken on same page and execution
O-line play,
DB play by SEC championship/playoffs.
Penn Wagers type officiating in big games.

Oh stop. Your QB doesn’t play defense and Florida’s offense literally did whatever it wanted till it started running the clock out. We had injuries two years ago too. Wasn’t allowed as an excuse for us so you don’t get it either. Mullen doesn’t recruit as well but he is a better developer. UF vs UGA will be a good game most years now because both programs are running well.

Context matters. He beat Saban first team in overtime which also lost to Louisiana Monroe. The following year as the number 1 team they were torched in Athens. Also the 2012 SEC Championship.

Really? What’s it feel like losing your top oline prospect to UCF and top RB prospect to Utah? Last year was an anomaly, get used to it. Mullen and staff are no where near Sprrier or Meyer. Expect at most a 25% win rate in Jax with Mullen and Smart at the the helms.

Really?
Yes, really.
Even with a sizeable talent advantage Dan went in there and flat out ate his lunch. I thought the days of running you guys out of the stadium before halftime were long gone, but here we are making excuses as to why a team with significantly less talent absolutely stomped your neck in so hard that they could just coast in the second half.

I think the Georgia offense will be good to great this year.
Georgia’s offense is loaded. Weakness is depth in the defensive back field.

If Stetson Bennett doesn't injure his shoulder on the second drive, UGA easily beats UF.
Stetson Bennett before shoulder injury:
2/3; 45 yards; 1 TD; 0 INT
Stetson Bennett after shoulder injury:
3/13; 33 yards; 0 TD; 1 INT
D’Wan Mathis after replacing Bennett:
4/13; 34 yards; 1 TD; 2 INT
“Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett was injured in the first quarter against the Florida Gators.
On the Bulldogs second drive, Bennett was hammered on a 32-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint. Bennett was seen immediately grabbing his right shoulder, while Rosemy-Jacksaint appeared to break his leg.
On the Bulldogs next drive, Bennett was shown favoring his shoulder after an incomplete pass. He was later taken out of the game in the first half and taken to the locker room for further evaluation. Backup quarterback D’Wan Mathis was put into the game, but Bennett returned to finish the half and start the second half.
Mathis replaced Bennett late in the second half due to the starter’s struggles.
Following the 44-28 loss to Florida, Kirby Smart revealed that Bennett played through a separated shoulder in the first half. He initially played through it before he was replaced in the second half.
Later in the same postgame press conference, Smart also said that Bennett suffered an AC sprain, not necessarily a separated shoulder.

Um no. Richt beat Saban when he was at LSU. Well before that. Kirby's first 5 seasons don't even match up to Richt's first 5 seasons. Kirby is Richt lite.

Yes, that time you claimed the big 12 and big 10 were equally as tough as the sec, and then accused others of NOT comparing apples to apples. Zero self awareness.

This post was stupid, and proven so, the first time you posted it. Why post it again?

Smart has done a great job there but the reality is you have to beat alabama. Its what got so many coaches fired at other schools. Its unfair but thats just the way it is in the SEC

Smart hasn’t done any better than Richt. In fact the numbers show he has done worse. Welp.

Again , the Michigan or the SEC !

Now compare Richt's last five years with Kirby's first five.
65% of Americans believe they are above average in intelligence. The 15% that think they are smarter than they actually are coincide perfectly with the mouthbreathers that push this Richt vs. Kirby first 5 yr comparison.

Holy shite...this is some next level idiocy.
Kirby's first staff produced 3 P5 HC's.The weakest link (fat Chaney) suckered UT into making him the highest paid OC in CFB.
Kiffin,Dooley,Jones or Pruitt's staffs weren't close and Fulmer's staff was a boarder line joke after Cutt left and replaced by Randy Sanders
Are you really saying we're "cheap" cause we didn't wanna make Chaney the highest paid OC in CFB? Hilarious and now you're stuck with his buyout.
