Kirby would definitely lose in the BIG12 as those teams play offense. Kirby is just beginning to figure out defense does not win games it only helps. Offense today wins games

Like OU in the Rose Bowl?? Got it!

UGA is too cheap to make a commitment to win at an elite level. The staff is a pure recruiting staff with little to show as a developer and coach. They are a very emotion driven team with a lot of high recruited talent that doesn’t play as a team. Guys skipping bowls, and giving up eligibility coupled with the normal 5-7 off season arrests (good deal avoiding that this year by the way, credit where credit is due) just screams a me over team locker room. When you watch them you see a lot of individual individual instead of team effort.

And no, Kirbys seat isn’t hot or getting hot. Avoid scandal that embraces the school, beat Auburn and GaTech on a regular basis, don’t lose a bunch to Florida and he is safe. The roster alone means they will win a bunch of games every year.

Please tell us how Tennessee would do it.

Tennessee pushed toward and won a national championship. When they were out rostering teams they also paid coaches that could develop players and build teams. They used great teams to build toward a national championship team. Guys stayed instead of forgoing their SR year. Guys sat a year to develop and worked their way into a lineup instead of the program just recruiting over and playing freshman or guys that were not ready. From 1985-2003 the only time Tennessee didn’t have team continuity was when 2 QBs went down and true freshman Payton Manning (expected to redshirt) was forced into the lineup before he was ready. Great recruiting and solid player development with team over the individual was the norm.

Kiffin might have gotten it back he wasn’t ready or mature enough
Dooley was an emergency hire that set the program back
Jones was a player over team guy that had a toxic locker room
Pruitt just wasn’t stable enough

But every single one of them had a better staff than Kirby does today. Every single one understood the difference between building a team and building a program.

Are you? Because it seems like you're comparing the B1G and Big 12 to the SEC. It also seems like the consensus on the rant is both of those conferences are arse and neither of those teams would win the SEC. So which is it?

We’ve gone 4 pages and nobody has asked how UGA manages to lose to Alabama this year while simultaneously losing the division? Well done, OP, except I’m sure it was by mistake

Even OP thinks UGA wins its division..

Kirby needs to lose some weight. I expect him to have an ounce of self-respect.

Both of these coaches have more playoff appearances than Kirby Smart.

You could argue Riley has done less with more. He’s 0-4 in playoffs with a head to head loss to Kirby with Riley’s best team to date. He’s had TWO Heisman winning QBs and couldn’t win it. And he’s had more WTF losses than Kirby to date. And his record against Saban is sh*t as well.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s a fine coach but if you put Kirbys last 4 teams in that same conference he’d have four Big12 titles too.

Such a stupid, insipid take. The largest support staff in the SEC,biggest recruiting budget, millions invested in facility upgrades (IPF,new FB facility, locker room and end zone seating)

Amazing since 3 of his assts are now P5 HC's

Guys skipping bowls, and giving up eligibility

Happens everywhere and many guys have come back for their senior
years:Nick Chubb,Sony Michel,Lorenzo Carter along Jordan
Davis,James Cook and Devonta Wyatt this year.

Not quite sure what this means but I don't think any SEC defense has played more cohesive except for LSU at the end of 2019.

Huh? Florida regularly lost games despite their torching offense.

Also, a lot would depend on how we lost to Florida and Clemson (we don't play Bama if we don't win the East).

Most Georgia fans can agree that fake punt was the worst call in the history of the program and was coaching malfeasance.

And most of us agree that Kirby hopping around like an organ grinder monkey with dude holding his leash is an embarrassment to the program.

And most of us agree that getting embarrassed by LSU, Alabama, and Florida in the last few years with our secondary (which was supposed to be Kirby's area of expertise) getting torched play after play is evidence that he can't game plan.

So if we get beat because Kirby makes stupid sideline calls while hopping around like he's dancing for quarters on a street corner while a music box plays Camptown Races as the opponent puts 48 on the board, then yes, it wouldn't hurt my feelings as a fan to fire him and hire Hugh Freeze.

Have I? I’m not the guy who is a Kirby sycophant and thinks he can do no wrong. My favorite stat is at this same time in their tenures Richt had a better overall record, had 2 SEC championships and had beat Nick Saban. Kirby is a worse version of Richt.

But hey you won a Rose Bowl game in 2017 that nobody remembers except for your delusional fan base.
