Softball player receives disciplinary actions for flipping off state trooper

This is what punishment is. This player did nothing illegal in her action of flipping off a trooper. It’s just a bad look and the university took action.

Now, Alabama on the other hand doesn’t punish a player for bringing a murder weapon to the scene of the crime. Regardless of how any Alabama fan tries to spin it, it’s an awful look. But for Miller bringing the weapon, ignorant or not, there is a lost life and Miller gets to live his life without consequence.

I hope Alabama loses every game in every sport moving forward for their inaction and despicable approach to all of this.

Example: Someone did something wrong.

Brandon Miller: Did nothing wrong.

Sounds like our player was respectful and cooperative with the police and y’all’s player was a trashy count

ETA: Wait this isn’t even a story about a Florida player? It’s regarding a softball player for the Lynchburg University Hornets? How do you people find this shite

“Wrong” is a loaded term.

How about this: did he make a good decision or a poor decision?

Ah so you're saying the university violated her right to free speech...

There is a decent chance that someone died that night regardless of what Miller did

Surely we’re not still acting as if it was a total coincidence that the Jeep pulled up with its light off a minute after Davis emerged from Bradley’s car

From your link:Vice President Michael Jones told ABC13 that the investigation had been completed, but could not speak about the discipline the player faces.

What punishment? I mean they might have patted her on the back for all we know.

What decision are you referring to?

Going to pick up a teammate?

Reading the text and continuing to pick up his teammate?

Letting his teammate leave a gun in his car?

I mean the softball player obviously made the decision to flip off an officer. What decision do you know for a fact Brandon Miller made that was a bad decision?

Or are you just assuming he made a bad decision?

Posting about DIII fast pitch is pretty lame, even for this board.

Maybe you and WildcatMike can hold hands and help each other get through this.

He didn't offer to help the police initially. They had to identify him. It was only then that he was respectful and cooperative.

Did they cut off her offending finger? Did she get 30 days in the cooler? Did she have to go to anger management classes to get in touch with her innermost feelings?

Here's a good one: Did she get suspended from her softball team? But then, if that happened, everyone would have known.

Brandon and this softball chick have a lot in common. We just don't know.

That would be easier to not laugh at if the actions of your athletic department didn’t completely contradict that. If he did “nothing wrong” they would have noted his involvement immediately rather than not acknowledging it and hoping it wouldn’t come up until after basketball season ended. But you know this.
