You brought up the first snap of the game.

I merely noted that UGA went three and out in their first drive.

Your response is to immediately melt down like a 5 year old. Wild.

Brian Kelly is easily a Top10 coach in CFB. Everyone that is college football savvy knows this.

Will he win a national title at LSU?… maybe, maybe not, lots of variables come into play there.

500+ yards through the air against the supposed top defense in the country? Yikes.

500 yards and only 30 points and losing by 20.
Yikes.

Rewatch the game. Tell me if you can see different pressures against LSU in the first half and last drive of the game (against our 2023 defense).

I'm impressed with what Ness did.
But it was 7 on 7. UGA threw no simulated pressures against LSU in the 3rd quarter. The drive that we turned it back on, we forced the sack/fumble.

A good football eye will see the difference. Those were great throws against a secondary designed to not allow those throws. But the minute we started to rotate the backend coverages and send DB pressure (still with only 4 and 5 man pass rush), Ness looked stressed and not accurate.

The outstanding talent was his blueprint. His blueprint was to have a generational talent at QB with two generational talents at WR.

That's like saying Gene Chizik has a blueprint to win NCs.

8th ranked roster in the country is not true at all...

Starting:
2 True Freshmen OTs
Freshman TE and LB
Transfer: Qb, 2 CBs, 2 Safeties, OG, DT, LB

This roster was pieced together and was projected to win 5.5 games this year and now have the opportunity for a 10 win season if LSU wins the bowl game...

All these ND fans that trash Kelly have no idea what they are talking about. They are simply buttheard that he left ND to come to LSU

Who thought O should get a lifetime contract. He went out of his way to praise him effusively; it wasn’t lip service.

I’m trusting Joe Burrow’s football judgment every single time.

You got me!

Congrats on your defense only giving up 43 points to a team that threw the ball 5 times in the third quarter (and 0 in the 4th). Congrats on giving up 38 points to the 13th best scoring offense in the SEC (Texas a&m)

I'm sure everything will be great for your defense against Purdue.

Jayden Daniels threw for over 200 in the first half.

He didn't crack 200 yards for a game through the air in half his starts this season.

UGA has some serious holes in their pass D.

The melt continues

I honestly don’t know where this animosity came from. All I said was UGA went three and out on their first drive because you brought up the first snap of the game. I’m actually baffled as to why you decided to take that so personally.

To have your team trot off after a blocked FG, line up in the gun on 4th and inches, and hide your best QB all year.

Woodward really raw dogged both our teams.

Congrats on your 10 points in the first half.
Print the cups.

UGA went from zone coverage to man coverage when we discovered that Daniels wasn't going to hurt us on the ground.
It led to an INT and 3 consecutive 3 and outs.
We went prevent at the half and he earned 51 yards for the field goal.

But he wasn't effective against the man coverage. If he was the running threat that he was hyped up to be, it may have been a different game.

Nice reply.
Feel free to report any facts which are incorrect in my posts. I'm always happy to learn.

Or don't.
Continue with the generic platitudes (melt). Lol
The problem with LSU is the fans. Lol
Not all of them. But a few who don't take too well to facts make a bad case for the rest of the bunch.

For someone that spent half the thread arguing semantics over "depth," you sure do use "prevent" loosely here.

Facts:

1. You brought up the first snap of the game.
2. I merely noted that UGA went three and out on their first series.
3. You took that as a personal insult and went on some diatribe about the Texas A&M game.

I’m not even being antagonistic

We went back to zone coverage. Lol basically a shell defense to prevent the touchdown.

Are you debating that we changed the coverage with 1:26 left in the half?

You saw the defender with the PBU on the INT, correct? Why not serious?

UGA brought back pressure before that. On LSU's last TD drive drive, UGA was blitzing LBs up the middle and off the edge, sometimes showing blitz pre-snap, sometimes with delayed blitzes. UGA was rushing at least one extra man on almost every play that drive. They weren't simply sitting back and playing coverage.

On the drive where Williams broke loose for a 50 yard rush, UGA blitzed a corner off the edge and had a MLB spying the middle who tried to crash once Williams got the ball, but was taken out by an LSU OL

Really at no point did the UGA defense just sit back and play a base defense
