Kelly is more consistent sure. But I’d rather take some eggs like 2021in exchange for blowing the roof off in 2019.

You definitely have a different concept of team depth.

If your starter can't execute the defensive playcall by the coaching staff, how is that a team depth issue?

If your defensive backfield has to telegraph their assignments because of your usage with your poor man's Swiss army knife, how is that a team depth issue?

Either your coaches suck. Or your starters suck.

You can beat the drum about depth all you want. That tells me your coaches suck. Because they can't do anything productive with your starters. Your defense gets run over and stuck on the field. And then the depth kills you in the late 3rd and 4th quarter.

Honestly. We are talking the first snap of the game.

Didn’t UGA go three and out on their first drive?

Ignoring that he won 2 titles at Grand Valley State, are we saying winning a conference title does not qualify as winning a “big” game?

And given that Notre Dame doesn’t play in a conference, are we saying that there was not a single big game won in either of the undefeated regular seasons he had there?

Do you think it’s fair to hold what one does at Cincinnati and Notre Dame to the same standard as if someone was at say (for example) Ohio State or Oklahoma?

Winning at Grand Valley State is utterly ignorable. Let's not try and gyrate that shite into winning "big games".

Under Kelly, Notre Dame played a glorified group of five schedule. Barely different from what he played at Cincinnati and when he set foot on the big stage, he routinely pissed himself just like he did against A&M.

The issues with LSU aren't a depth issue.

Maybe not for a middle of the pack conference team, but for a division leader with high aspirations, your assertion is just laughable. You mean to tell me that Sage Ryan (#3) is a bonafide slot/corner/safety? In the previous 20 seasons, LSU had depth in the secondary where a guy like him would not see the field. Look where UGA went with the ball on their 1st half touchdowns up the right hash.

There is no D line rotation. None. 2 true freshmen started as LT and RT. our Corners are not SEC elite like we normally have. We have 3 legitimate linebackers. We do not have a deep backfield. The only position of depth on this team is at WR and underdeveloped QBs.

Going forward... our O line will be the best it's been in years, and we will have great QB play. We have to hit the transfer portal for defense.

On the coaching side. Fire Brian Polian yesterday.

First of all, you are a band wagon fan living in Louisiana. Probably never stepped foot in Tuscaloosa. And here you are with yet another lie. You can't help but lie can you?

Everyone expected 6-7 wins. We got 9. We're pretty happy. What is so fricking hard to understand about that?

You obviously don't realize what a shitshow the program was.

Dude, everyone was gone. All coordinators, virtually every starter… I think the guy who brought in Brady and paired him with Ensminger, got Burrow from the portal, and turned it into 15-0 deserved a chance to head the rebuild.

He should have tried harder to retain Aranda, but even he was probably gone anyway with the Baylor offer.

Stetson Bennett... the Orange Bowl MVP. The national championship MVP...
Threw 4 touchdowns in the first half against the LSU defense in the SEC Championship game.

Congratulations on giving the former walkon his best game of his life. He had never thrown 4 TDs in a single game before. 30 career starts at UGA (a couple of games coming in to bail out a different starter). 4 TDs for the first time in his career (10 starts in Juco and he didn't have 4 in a game there either).

This is the defense that we are discussing. This is your 2022 end of the season defense. Do we want to get into Texas A&Ms most rushing yards since playing Prairie View in 2021?

This has been explained to you multiple times.

Either you're completely ignorant or willfully obtuse.

Which is it?

This is because LSU's running back playing QB and backup QB were throwing the ball all over UGA's porous pass defense.

500+ yards through the air against the supposed top defense in the country? Yikes.

He did get a chance.

He hired two first time coordinators, hired Pelini in 2020 without even interviewing him.

Had to be told by Lane Kiffin that they were running the same defense over and over because he didn't know.

There was no accountability within the program for players at all, ranging from nutrition to behavior to academics.

That was all getting worse, not better.

In the exact same fashion? Of course not. But he had a blueprint and some outstanding talent. It was just going to take a couple of years to replenish after the mass exodus.

Looking back, I think Jake Peetz was unfairly excoriated because Max Johnson was just that bad. I would have liked to have seen him with 2022 Nuss.

How’s is Jimbo faring at A&M. He was a National Champion at FSU. I don’t see that program on the rise.

Lol

Instead of saying that your starters aren't good enough, you blame "depth".

Look in the mirror man. Be honest with your choice of words.

If your coaching staff doesn't make changes, Purdue will have its way with your defense.
Be ready for Purdue to throw for 300+ yards, 4+ TDs, and running for 1 more.

If depth is your issue, the coaching staff can fix the glaring issues the past 2 games. If you don't have the talent, Purdue will be primed to put up points in the Citrus Bowl and you are going to have to outscore them.

Well, Saturday showed us he doesn't know how to evaluate qb's. If he doesn't start recruiting in the top ten he will last four years max.

And he wasted no time in getting rid of Pelini. Daronte Jones was actually improving as the season went on.

As I said, with the benefit of hindsight Peetz really did all he could with Johnson.
