Nobody mentions how Michigan cheated or the PAC is the weakest of conferences. Definitely shows you the real bias when it comes to this, jealousy of those who hate Bama. I hate the Gumps just like everyone else, but they are a top 4 team.

Bama is an easy target - but FSU was out regardless. If UGA had won FSU would be out still.

The committee missed a golden opportunity to send a message that cheaters will be punished immediately and harshly. They should have stopped ranking Michigan as soon as it was proven beyond any reasonable doubt they were cheating.

But since they, like Roger Goodell, lack courage and integrity, they should have put FSU in over Bama (although as a BAMA fan I am elated that they're in). I happy and angry at the same time, damn it.

They shouldn't even rank at all. That's the real source of the PR debacle. FSU held serve. Based on rankings (they didn't drop FSU's rankings after the QB injury) the justifiable expectations were that FSU was in. Now there's the sense that it never mattered, or mattered only when convenient to the selection of the final 4

It was NOT proven, nor will it ever be. Stealing signs is LEGAL, and B10 Commissioner Tony PeeTitty couldn't find an NCAA Rule Violation, and had to use some cheesy "Sportsmanship" clause to suspend Harbs, all because he had nothing except some potentially photoshopped picture of a guy who looks likes Conner and 13 Big Ten coaches bitching because we're kicking their arse all the time.

As for NCAA Rule 11.6.1, the NCAA has a huge problem with their investigation. 11.6.1 says IN-PERSON scouting from COACHES, PLAYERS, & TEAM PERSONNEL is prohibited, but it
does NOT say from coaches, players, team personnel, people who know team personnel, people who know the people of people who know team personnel, etc...

Amazing how so many think Harbs is so stupid, but he's really BRILLIANT! He's fighting the NCAA to get more money for these kids, and they're trying to frick with him about it. He found a LOOPHOLE in the Rule Book, just like he did when he was trying to teach kids the game of football with his Satellite Camps, at which point DICK Saban and that little SEC Sanky Commissioner nerd whined like little bitches to the NCAA about!

Jim Harbaugh is not just a great football coach & leader, he's also a CRUSADER, fighting against the corruption in the NCAA. These kids deserve more money than they make now, and Harbs is going to get it for them, trust me!

Oh shite, a completely reasonable take by an LSU fan. Congratulations. If they rearranged the top 7 to UGA, Michigan, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Alabama, FSU in the penultimate ranking then everyone would have known that FSU's only shot was Alabama and Texas both losing and none of this would have come as a surprise to anyone. Instead they just sat on their hands assuming Louisville would do the dirty work for them against a crippled team and instead Louisville completely shite the bed and appeared totally incompetent. It's a recurring theme with the committee over many years. They desperately try to avoid getting blood on their hands by manipulating the rankings with an eye ahead to future matchups that will solve the problem for them.

I lived in Michigan. It's a dirty program. There was common talk among ex-players about the handshakes they received after a successful game, especially against Ohio State.

Nope, it would have been four undefeated teams.

Georgia would be playing Washington and Michigan would be playing FSU.

We need rules for every little violation? Sportsmanship rule was made to include violations that don't have specific rules.

If Bama had not lost to UTx or played another, it would be Bama and UGa squeezing out FSU. Then, the melt would have been REAL. The committee threw the Noles a Championship-Holding-trophy-bone to keep them ahead of UGA.

Now, the Orange Bowl will sort that out.

If we're being honest, this was the closest the committee has come to doing what they were supposed to do. The BCS would have had Bama at #3.

That said, I think it's UTx and Bama in the finals. It is going to be very tough. Texas is an excellent team and a bad matchup for Bama with a healthy Ewers: great passing game and fast, physical defense.

In 2024, they're SEC-bound. It is great for the energy of the conference.

In the meantime, this Bama team has not been polished or dominant all year. But they play with an edge, have an underdog mentality, and do not quit. Given the hate over the FSU decision, which was entirely out of their control, I expect a very hungry Tide team to hit the playoffs.

If both teams are blessed enough to get that 2009 rematch, i know Bama is going to come in with that edge like they did against Georgia. Should be a good game if it happens.

So, if I get 13 people to call up that little nerd BITCH sec boss Sanky, and we all tell them..."Alabama coach DICK Saban had sex with a SHEEP, we have what we believe to be a picture of him doing it with the sheep, and we want him SUSPENDED immediately for a "Sportsmanship Violation" and a suspension for the Michigan game..."

You're OK with that aspersion and potential PHOTOSHOPPED picture, in place of PROOF, suspending him, right?

Sounds like you're still melting from not getting FSU as your R1 opponent. Sorry, no cupcakes like your regular season.

Gave you a cupcake last year (TCU) and you still failed at that.

Thanks, MoT.

The overwhelming majority couldn't care less about Florida State, they just don't want Alabama in it again.

Most don't have a clue about the actual selection criteria, the strength of schedules — any of it.

There were posters on here openly celebrating the entire SEC getting left out of the playoffs, as long as it meant 'no Alabama.' Which would have hurt all of us, including their own team.
