He has a son who is an amateur boxer. Maybe the two of them were at the fight.

I met him at camp war eagle in 2003. His son was a walk on WR at Auburn. He was standing at the bus stop with his son's bags dressed in a suit. I said "War Eagle". He said "hello". It was incredible.

He was paid by Showtime to be there.
With HBO's exit of the sport it was their coming out party so to speak. There were lots of celebrities there promoting Showtime's boxing programs.

Evander is not great with birth control or his finances. He is an idiot. I remember seeing him fall out as Benny Henn cast a demon out of him to fix his heart. It was sad and awesome. Pretty sure that demon Benny scared away was a horny SOB.

I heard it’s because he heard a rumor that Wilder is his son. If you freeze frame 7 minutes and 23 seconds into the fight, you can see Evander dabbing a q-tip on a sweaty towel in Wilder’s corner.

The Wilder fight was a business trip, he is a promoter representing Anthony Joshua, and is trying to arrange a fight between Wilder and Joshua. What better place to network and try to arrange the potential fight then at the Wilder fight.
