Evander Holyfield - why was he at the Wilder-Fury fight and not his son's biggest game?

His son is finally a star RB this year and Daddy Holyfield would rather skip his biggest game and go watch a fight in LA. All the other star athletes had their parents there except for the ones that are incarcerated.
When Evander was the guest on GameDay it appeared to me that he was never really close to this son. But I guess it's hard to be when you have 11 children with 6 different women.

Deontay Wilder is also probably his son. He can't be everywhere at once.

So the kid's lack of a stable father figure growing up and his ability to make something of himself anyway is the best troll you can come up with?

Is it wrong that sentence made me laugh?

Pretty sure he's always been a deadbeat only out for his own happiness. Like so many other superstar athletes, he hid it pretty well.

His dad came to most all of the regular season games that I can remember. It's not like he doesn't show up at all?

He's been at a ton of games this year. Weird troll.

It looks like Evander is using his son to remain relevant. Only comes around when it benefits him.

"I know it's a big game for you son, but this fight though..."

Damn man, are you one of his kids he doesn’t spend time with or something? This is kinda creepy subject.

Not creepy at all. I watched the SEC Championship game then saw Evander in the crowd at the fight. Just wondering about his priorities.

Mike Tyson was there as a surrogate. He and Evander are pretty close.

Why is a Clemson fan on an SEC board instead of bragging on the ACCrant about beating, who was it..., Pittsburgh or Boston College? Syracuse maybe?

Yeah that’s the creepy part. Go to UGA fan day and ask Elijah, track down Evander and ask him. Seems like a strange thing to focus on, lots of broken parental relationships in this world.

He was probably doing some paid events during the fight weekend.

Maybe he didn’t hear about it

Doesn't change the fact that you thought mocking the kid's lack of a dad at his game was a good troll. I would say I'd expect better, but I've yet to see a Clemson fan on here that wasn't borderline brain-damaged.

He doesn't have the time. He's posting as at least 3 different Clemson fans here.

Interesting. Saw him the morning after he initially won the heavyweight title -- he was at the Magic City Classic. If I remember correctly, he had a cousin, or some sort of relative playing for A&M. He hung on the Bulldogs' sidelines and I got to interview him. He seemed to be a big college football fan at that point, wonder why he wouldn't watch his own talented son?

He’s got like 20 kids so he can’t attend everything. ??
