What’s hilarious is Louisville, contrary to what many of you believe, has not reached out to any of these people. Kenny Payne is going to be our next coach

Me too, as Musselmeh will drag those recruits with him.

I agree and better for them to get this locked down sooner with a guy that can make a move quicker than trying to chase down some of the bigger names.

Arkansas hasn’t been to the Final Four since 1995 and hasn’t won an SEC title since 1994.

Won a natty that year in 1994 as well. You've never even played for a natty so why are you commenting here?

Arkansas has more Final Fours than Auburn has Final Fours, Elite 8's and Sweet 16's combined.

Damn, you were so poor in 1994 that you had a black and white tv? Sorry to hear that.

The only job Musselman ever leaves Arkansas for is a west coast NBA job.

And he already failed in the NBA, so y'all don't have to worry about that

I don't think finishing 2nd behind Popovich in coach of the year voting constitutes failing.

Auburn fans are so fricking ignorant when it comes to hoops. When I went to your 9k seat high school gym, the fans were by far the most ignorant about basketball rules. I see nothing has changed by reading these posts.

Arky is a top 15 all time basketball program with a 20k seat arena and can get top 5 recruiting classes every year. No coach is going to leave that situation.

That was his first season.

He went under .500, then proceeded to get progressively worse the next 2 seasons after that. With what in retrospect was a pretty talented warriors squad.

Mussleman was an NBA failure. They don't want him back. It's okay to admit bro, Bama fans will admit that Saban was an NFL failure and that the NFL wouldn't take him back.

NBA is more about roster management by the front office anyway

And he his front office gave him a talented roster to work with. He just wasn't a good enough coach to win in the NBA, plain and simple

The three coaches before Musselman were 51-168.

Musselman took over and went 75-89 over two years.

Mike Montgomery took over his team and went 68-96 the following two years.

You have to go back to 1988 before you find a coach with a better winning pecentage at Golden State than Musselman prior to Steph and that coach is Don Nelson. Considered one of the 10 best coaches ever.

He had Gilbert Arenas, Antwan Jamison, and Jason Richardson in his first season. That's a damn good trio in that era of the NBA, and they had a decent enough supporting cast that it should've been a playoff team.

He ran off Arenas and Jamison after 1 season, but still had a bunch of solid veterans around Richardson

Let's not forget that he was so bad in Sacramento that the Kings still haven't recovered, 15 years later.

The Arkansas high school basketball talent pool seems to be getting even deeper. Musselman taking a job other than UK, UNC, Kansas etc would just be changing jobs for the sake of change alone.

You're apparently the only one that believes that considering the people within the league thought almost finishing .500 with that team was coach of the year worthy. 26 first place votes for finishing 38-44. Golden State's record that year was the best in a decade.

All you have to do is look at the tenure of coaches at Golden State. The 4 previous coaches all posted winning percentages of less than 30%.

He came in and won the most games of any coach in 20 years with a shite team. Lame troll.
