Not one person on that committee, this board, or anywhere in the South believes Alabama is the #13 team.

it's hard to argue that Alabama isn't the second strongest team in the league this year,

Not really, the argument can be easily made that they're fifth.

The same team that barely beat a awful Miami team and should have lost to a average Kentucky team?

Ah this is the measuring stick? Then Baylor shouldn't be ranked. They damn near lost to everyone they played.

Auburn had two SEC games before that one, while Florida had Towson and the 2018 version of UT. Still needed a freshman to miss wide open guys in the end zone to beat the most inept offense ever.

I was comparing Fla to UGa, but it is pretty funny to see an Auburn fan make fun of 2018 Tennessee.

It can be said UF had the disadvantage of facing LSU in Baton Rouge. I believe it was Trask’s first start on road.

1. LSU (beat UGA, UF, AU, Bama)
2. Georgia (beat UF, AU)
3. Florida (beat AU)
4. Auburn (beat Bama)
5. Alabama

A handful of plays in each of these games gives every team listed a 10-2 record. One jimmy or Joe, One X or O is the difference.

But there is no doubt, LSU had the right mix. IMO the rest of us could be ranked 2 to 5 on any given day.

I mean at the current state of the programs Florida is probably better than Georgia. Georgia doesn't beat Florida without Cager. He was their offense and was who they went to in almost every key moment. They aren't scoring more than 10 points on any defense with a pulse right now their offense is beyond terrible with the injuries.

Georgia's loss to South Carolina is brutal, but they won the head to head on a neutral site. If Georgia would have been in the top 4, it would have been the worse loss for a playoff team ever.
