My friend, there isn’t an AD in the country that would want BK over DeBoer or about 10–15 other coaches. I’m sorry for your loss, and keep digging, it’s very entertaining!!

There’s the limited thinking again.
Your first mistake was using a Woodward decision as something to celebrate. Your second mistake is assuming that today was 3 years ago. DeBoer hadn’t even coached a game at Washington when Woodward made that decision, and Freeman hadn’t exposed Brian Kelly as the James Franklin of the south.
The statement holds for people who understand logic. There isn’t an AD in the country that would choose BK over DeBoer or 10-15 other coaches (if making the choice today…which was implied, but some people need a lot of hand holding).

Woodward’s last two football coaching hires were Jimbo and Kelly correct? Each with $100 million dollar 90% guaranteed contracts?
Yep, that guy seems to be a GREAT decision maker. Let’s see what $200 million will get you with Woodward.
Jimbo at TAM: 9-4, 8-5, 9-1, 8-4, 5-7, 6-4

There's the actual limited thinking here.
Low IQ individuals think Notre Dame is better now because they won some playoff games.
Those who can reason logically can see that standards were lowered and Notre Dame still isn't actually beating "elite" teams.

Kelly's contract is more like $95 million and Jimbo's was $75 million.
You're about $30 million off.

It is always fascinating to watch LSU fans circle the wagons. They are so good at it. But, they do have the most experience at it. How dare anybody question Brian Kelly! Or even post his record! What an outrage!

It is equally fascinating to watch people claim BK "can't win big games" because he lost to 2012 Bama, 2018 Clemson, and 2020 Alabama.

I feel like the other 5 times we've had this conversation should suffice.
I guess the difference between me and most fans is I don't think coaching football, in and of itself, is any different whether it's an elite team or an average team. The process is the same. You just usually tend to lose more if you face elite teams.
I'm more concerned with Kelly losing games like 2022 A&M than I am with him losing vs Georgia in the SECCG that same year? Why? Because no one else beat them and they were clearly the better team.
Sonny Dykes won a CFP playoff game back when it was actually hard, I don't think he is a better coach than Lane Kiffin because of that though.
Matchups matter.
