I don't see why UF/Foley doesn't shoot for a proven coach? Screw taking a chance on a guy that hasn't actually won anything, they tried that and it didn't pan out.

Get someone you know can handle the stress and pressure associated with running an elite SEC football program.

Does Kirby Smart get the job when Saban leaves?

Though Mississippi does have the best HS talent per capita, there was a recent survey/map of NFL players and their home states that supports my claim.
Quick search says that such a survey would be an outlier:

And I hope you and everybody else continues to believe that, so he will not be poached away. And he can sneak up and beat people that think he is not a good coach.

I genuinely thought wether or not i would want some other coach in place of him...
He's relatively young, can recruit like crazy, is from ms, loves ms, is a great motivator, seems to genuinely care about his players from what ive seen.

Saban is getting older may have 5-7 years left?( possibly coach till hes 75 but come on)...
Richt.. Pass
Mullen.. Arrogant.. But good coach, Yankee.. Pass
Butch.. Fake , would sell a blind kid a parrot ( dumb &dumber 1 ref)
Bert.. Dont like his system.. May die of heart attack any time
Finkle... Decent coach not a great recruiter..doesn't know ms
OBC.. Love him think hes hilarious.. Doesn't recruit too too old.
Sumlin.. QB guru or really lucky... Not on par with defense..pass
Malzahn.. Arrogant and closet lunatic..would sell soul to devil to advance career

The only candidate i would take would be Charlie strong.. High moral character, just seems to have it.. He will bring Texas all the way back, when he has a full class of scholarship players.

That long winded ness out of the way.. I dont think I could be happier than the potential we have with freeze.

Not really. Mullen and Foley hate each other. Mullen will NOT be going to Florida.

Wish I had a link...
But it was in reference to all time nfl players divided by that states population currently.
The fansided link looks close to what I was thinking but not the article...
Chance the article i read was BS or I'm full of shite... Either way nice research enjoyed reading

“Coach Freeze,” Jefferson said. "I think he would be a great choice for UF. My visit with him at Ole Miss was great. He’s not only la great football coach but he’s a great man. What he can bring to the table can be pretty special if he were to go there and get the place figured out.”

Why did this cheese dick reporter ask such a leading question based on 0 evidence that Florida is even pursuing Freeze?

Florida's facilities are surprisingly average compared to the rest of the sec. Not sure why... the athletic department is rollin in it. Foley's frugal.

Y'all better hope it's not Petrino because if it is it means Florida has decided ethics don't matter and we're gonna go Bama or even worse FSU style.

You want to talk ethics and bring up Alabama? This is coming from a fan of the same program that hired Urban Meyer. You've already been down that road. So don't even bother with the holier than thou.

The guy makes terrible in-game coaching decisions.

So does Saban, but he's tGOAT.

Freeze tries to emulate Saban when it comes to managing the program.

What was known about Urban when he was hired? What ethical rules did he violate in your opinion? I'm just curious. I'm not saying he's a saint or the devil. I just like to hear what facts people refer to here.

The only people that actually think he's going to Florida are the worthless posters on that message board you call "Elite"

Doubt any current coach in the SEC is the coach at Florida next year.

But who the frick knows. Literally half the fricking coaches in the country have been named as possible candidates so far.

This. Anyone want to tell me how many coaches have been poached from other SEC schools while Slive has been commissioner?
