i feel pretty bad for them, actually. they come across pathetic trying to justify the reason why they hyped this 'rematch' for rankings.

they are real defensive whenever there is a discussion about a rematch.

not a knock against bama, they did what they had to do to get here.

They are just telling the truth. Everyone knows Bama and LSU are the two best teams.

Would a SEC team with 1 loss to Vanderbilt be worthy to play in the MNC game? So would a 1 loss OSU team with a loss over Iowa State be worthy?

Keep telling yourself that, coach. The rest of the nation sees ESPN for what it is: A gump PR firm.

Why? Because they realized that it was clear who the two best teams were? Yeah, they look so bad.

Look at wins too instead of just losses.

dude, saban's response said it all. he knows everyone outside of Bama thinks differenlty than you. maybe before last night's game, but after OKst beat down a top 10 team ... cmon man, be honest with yourself.

Dundy made a compelling argument that resonates with the majority of he country. bama had their shot. let a big 12 CONF CHAMP take theres and settle the big 12 offense vs. SEC defense argument once and for all.

again, no knock against bama. every other team, including Okst, dropped the ball so they have nobody to blame but themselves.

Gundy's argument was a PLEA for people to vote with their hearts rather than their minds.

Everyone knows Alabama and LSU are the two best teams in the country.

The system worked just fine. Stop being so pissy about it.

Most realistic LSU fans know the truth. Some of the corn dogs that haven't graduated from the Jethro Bodine Elementary School don't agree.

What looks bad is tonight they are really showing the two resumes side by side and saying it was real close...all day yesterday though, they had decided Alabama was in no matter what. Then they invited Saban on Gameday to plead his case yesterday.

Wins over an overrated Oklahoma team and an Average Baylor team don't make up for a loss to Iowa State.

According to BCS ranking Bama has the best win (Ark > KSU)
+
If this was 30 years ago both LSU and Bama would be 11-0-1 after the regular season and split the National Title

if the green bay packers are in the SEC East and go 0-12 in conference play do they deserve a spot just because they are the best team in the nation? no

collegiate football is about EARNING your way to the national title. oklahoma state got fricked over and alabama fans if you disagree, you're wrong. enjoy your homerism

oh and stop reading here because ESPN's dick is getting a little dry - get back to work
