Stanford, well, they can't beat them either.

Oregon is 9-3 versus Stanford since 2001.

They are 2-2 over the last four. Stanford all time 45-30-1. If you could read though, all I said was Stanford is the closest competitor they have NOW and can't beat them. I expect Stanford will smother them again this year. Everyone read that and thought, "look at the series," when they should have thought "that style gives Oregon trouble."

So they can't beat them, but they are even against them in the last 4 years. Strong point.

This is like looking at recruiting rankings right now. It won't tell you a damn thing really.

Right. A lot of these flashy, high powered offenses of late have come unraveled when they are matched in title games against mid-upper tier SEC defenses. I don't know if I would even call Auburn's defense that year middle tier, they looked pretty bad in some games including the Kentucky game yet Oregon could only put up a handful of points on the AU "D".

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 2-2 over the last 4 is the best four year record over the relevant time period of any team against Oregon, is it not?

Yeah Oregon looked great against Stanford last year when they scored 14 points.

Oregon gets its dick smashed in whenever it faces a real D.

Why do people continually compare teams from previous years?

More experienced QB, new coach and better defense. Also, better in the trenches this year.

So is Kentucky in Mizzou. Calm the frick down. Tennessee is light years from the best SEC teams.

State lost 17-14. There were a few games better than the Oregon game that year.

Auburn beat Oregon on the last play of the game. The only team that can claim to have come closer would be Clemson who lost in OT.

Wallace will take on a dark horse Heisman role after he leads OM to victory in Tuscaloosa for the first time since the 80s.

You are right that the team that can not lose to Oregon is 2-2.

What does this

I realize Tennessee isn't the cream of the SEC, but they're still an SEC team and they were crushed by Oregon.

Who would win Oregon-Bama? If BCS, you give Saban 6 weeks to prepare, Bama wins. But a non-conference game with only a week to prepare? Probably the home team would win.

Still, it would be an awesome NC game. Screw Ohio State. All they have to do is beat thoroughly incompetent Big Ten teams to go undefeated.

crushing them would be a heisman moment too.

pretty sure Manziel has seen to it that he will not be receiving another Heisman, he's too much of a classless douche, and many of the voters are having Heisman remorse for giving it to him, maybe if he were to save a baby from a burning building, and a bear, it might help his image, but probably not
