This is what I gleaned from yesterday's trouncing.

It's very exciting to see Joe make the plays, but Georgia Southern can't cover all those receivers on their best day.

But our defense looked strong, fast, and DEEP. Our front 7 had their way all day. Safeties were sharp and and made sure tackles. Did they have any completions?

Your list is wrong. They accidentally put an LSU quarterback towards the top.

Duke has had one drafted player in the last 5 years. Don’t act like they are a decent football program all of a sudden.

be that as it may be, they actually had a higher rated defense than Oregon in 2018 according to that S&P site

Top 50 team, occasionally sniffing the bottom end of the top25.

Far cry from most G5 teams still.

should be one heck of a game.

Final score prediction: 2-0. Not saying which team wins.

Hurts always has done well on this one because espn factors rushing yards more so than others in their qbr. "go'on Jalen!"

Actually add 1 to everyone's ranking - Jalen bumped everyone down a spot.

Duke fields a solid pass defense - Top 35 last year.
GA Southern was 54th... and played in the Sun Belt.

All but one of them played a weaker defense.

How would we know that after 1 week?

I’m impressed at how the players have picked up on the new scheme after a short period of time.

Agree with this. The way LSUs offense moved is impressive against air. Looks like LSU may have found that missing element they've searched for for so long. As always after week 1, we all need to temper expectations and see how it plays out against better competition but yall look legit. And I've been a Burrow fan.

Now on Bo Nix (not directed at Rohan). Yes, he looked bad at times. Yes, he looked a little lost on what he was seeing. It was his first big time college game. Against a real team, mind you. But, damn if he didnt show off that cannon on a few beautiful throws. And show his toughness and leadership diving straight at 3 Oregon players on 4th and 3 to pick up the first to keep the game alive. And you all saw the game winner.

That being said, the guy is a winner with all the tools to become great. If I was playing, I'd be happy to go out there and follow him any day of the week.

Don't get carried away. Your system is about as basic as there is. But you've gotta start somewhere, and for that Orgeron is to be commended.

I love when fans of one football team pretend that their team being proficient at something gives them special insight that fans of other teams don't have.

But then you look kind of dumb when you say:

I watched your replay this morning. Yes you did. Repeatedly.

He obviously meant before this season.

But yeah, these little dump off passes to RBs never really amount to much. Just ask Drew Brees and Alvin Kamara.

(See, I'm a fan of a team with a prolific offense, so that makes me an expert, right?)
