Mullen but he doesn't seem to have the personality to be a great recruiter so he will never have the talent Sabah does.

You think Saban's personality recruits great talent?
Saban has the personality of an ice pick. It's the laser focus and the insatiable desire to conquer that makes him a great recruiter. He wills his organization to be sucessful

Dr RC has a great analysis with stats on the A&M board. Mullen really has not done anything of note

, but what exactly is Mickey Mouse about a run-focused spread?

The Tebow jump pass that Merlins loves so much. That offense is not hard to stop with disciplined players because it is basically assignment football in the front 7. Lsu was poorly coached and out of position all game.

Don't fall for this. You go wandering over to the aggy board , then wake up at the bottom of a well with Gradual Stroke yelling at you to put lotion on your skin.

No thanks

Would a fairer comparison be Saban & Meyer? It's hard to compare coaching at State vs Bama. At least Meyer is the same system but at an equally higher profile school.

I guess his system isn't really predicated on "gameday decisions" as much, but there are not a lot of times you can say "wtf was Saban thinking" and rarely do we see clock management issues.

While this statement is true and I wouldn't trade Saban for two of any other coach, his one big WTF moment cost Bama a shot at a 3-peat. In the Kick Six game, going for it on 4th down instead of a chip shot FG with 6:00 to go was incredibly stupid. I know Cade Foster was a train wreck but if Saban really though Adam Griffith had a shot at hitting the 57 yard FG, did he not think he could hit a 27 yarder? No one is perfect and this is probably the only time in his tenure at Bama when I thought the blame for the loss was squarely on the head coach. At any rate FSU was likely a better team and would have crushed us in the title game.

So one play makes it a Mickey Mouse offense? WTF?

How many times do you think he's run that play? If you had to guess.
