Ole Miss looks more just regular blue to me. They have some very nice color combo uniforms
I'm old school with Ole Miss, I still favor the navy helmet, red jersey, gray pants. The powder blue is ok for every now and again, but now it seems like the norm rather than the exception.

You sure about that? I thought the maroonish color was dominant.

Seems like LSU, Missouri and others call yellow "gold".... because yellow is associated with cowardice... so they call it gold instead.

Actual "gold" coloring is what Vandy has. Notre Dame, UCF, etc.

And there is that butterscotch color that Pitt calls "gold"... there are a few of those out there. Iowa is another one that has an off yellow they call gold. WVU. There are several.

I'm tying to think of schools that actually claim "yellow" as a color. Oregon does but I can't think

LSU used to have a more gold color from 1893 to somewhere around the 1950's. It was supposed to match the colors of louisiana civil war troops. There is also a story about mardi gras colors. The shade has changed over time to a more yellow color.

We still love purple and live gold though.
We also eat rice in our chili.
