I don't post a ton, but I've gotten pretty tired of seeing the LSU whiners keep thinking LF is God's gift to the tailback position. Even worse, they think he's better than unquestionably the best back in the league going into 2015. So I figured I'd put some black and white facts out there to see what possible way people choose to spin them.

LF 2014 Stats:
187 att, 1034 yards (5.5 average)
10 TDs
7 Rec for 127 yards and 0 Tds

NC 2014 Stats:
219 att, 1547 yards (7.1 average)
14 TDs
18 Rec for 213 yards and 2 Tds

Top 5 Rushing games in '14:

LF-
146 - aTm
143- ND
140- UF
122- NMSU
113- OM

NC-
266- UL
202- Ark
170- UK
156- UF
144- AU

Potential to improve is one thing, but I don't see any reasonable, rational, logical reason why anybody would proclaim that as of right now in summer of 2015 that fournette is the better back. He isn't.

Chubb is better. I don't think anyone is arguing with that buddy. This shite was random

Why can't we just be reasonable and say that both have the potential to be amazing. They are completely different systems and share different workloads and coaching philosophies. Fournette is an outstanding back who has the potential to be as good as his body allows him to be.

That is reasonable, and no one should deny that. But for some reason some LSU fans take a trip to the bitter barn anytime it's suggested that LF isn't the best.

You don't see any reason? Really? How about the efficiency with which both teams passed the ball. You might not agree, and that is fine, but you have to admit that on that basis alone one could argue that Fournette is better. It would be the argument of them swapping teams. Just a thought.

Either player would be coveted by any other team. Chubb is better.

It's like asking which roll in the sack with Salma Hayek or Sofia Vergara is better?

Both would be outstanding.

I haven't seen this topic brought up in weeks, but I agree with your assessment. Chubb was better than Fournette in every category this season and I think the majority of lsu fans are just trolling the board when they say Fournette is better. I do think the gap between the two will shorten and Fournette will have the longer career. Richt runs his backs into the dirt.

Huston Mason was our starter this year. I get that he isn't as bad as what LSU had but he wasn't exactly lighting the world on fire. Everyone with a brain knew that Georgia was going to pound the rock....early and often.

They are both going to be good. Eye test suggests Chubb looked best and stats confirm it. Let's watch their careers since they will both be around the same time.

A good old Bo vs Herschel happening here, it's going to be fun to watch.

Went through this shite last offseason too, except it was BamaDoc arguing incessantly that Bama's RBs were better than UGA's. Some people just can't take their homer glasses off.

Yeah, really. It's pretty black and white.

this is such a skewed argument that can be altered to fit any argument.

Team has elite QB-

Oh well their RB was only good because defenses respected the pass and couldnt' bring more people in teh box

Oh well their RB was only average because they didn't need him to run that much

Team has awful QB-

Oh well their RB only put up great numbers because he was carrying the offense and he got most of the workload

Oh well their RB put up average numbers because with no passing threat defenses could key into the run game most of the time

Regardless of QB situation, you can slant it to make a RB look as good or bad as you want.

Stats are fun to look at and all, but Fournette went up against a stacked box on every carry. Not saying either is better because they are both monsters but your stats don't mean anything IMO.
