I think it's funny that just about everyone in opposition to the OP is a Bama fan. Methinks they fear the potential fallout from Ritter no longer being able to keep them in games (like the Ole Miss game, which they lost but would have lost by three touchdowns if not for Ritter).

You Bama fans take for granted that Ritter calls every big game you're in. Just know that all good things have to come to an end sometime...

We know it's about either Bama or TAMU because it was started by an LSU fan.

Bama got no help from Ritter whatsoever in that game. You guys are embarrassing yourselves, as usual. Just know that every non-LSU fan who reads these threads laughs at you.

If it was an LSU grad doing it to Bama it would be national news and Saban would be flipping out over it.
How does Miles feel about it? Has Miles or Alleva taken issue with it, petitioned the conference, met with the SEC office about it?

It is my opinion that EVERY fan cringes when they see Ole Bug Eyes on the field. He doesn't seem to show bias, just lack of knowing what the frick he's doing. You can't blame him for "fricking your team with penalties and calling back TDs" if your undisciplined arse team is ACTUALLY committing the offenses.

You've gotten it all wrong. Matt Austin is our guy. Bama 6-2 against ranked opponents with him. Tide only 7-6 against ranked opponents with Ritter. Bama is actually less likely to win with Ritter than other Refs - facts and stuff

Matt Austin - 19 Games, Record Overall 17-2, Against Ranked Opponents 6-2
Tom Ritter - 18 Games, Record Overall 11-7, Against Ranked Opponents 7-6
Penn Wagers - 12 Games, Record Overall 12-0, Against Ranked Opponents 2-0
Hubert Owens - 11 games, Record Overall 10-1, Against Ranked Opponents 3-0
Matt Moore - 10 Games, Record Overall 9-1, Against Ranked Opponents 1-1
Ken Williamson - 9 games, Record Overall 9-0, Against Ranked Opponents 1-0
Marc Curles - 8 Games, Record Overall 8-0, Against Ranked Opponents 2-0

Sweet Mercy, this needs to be quoted every time Ritter's name comes up.

Of all the teams in the SEC, only LSU has been flagged more often than its opponent for more yards in every season since SEC expansion. Auburn got the penalty advantage in 2012 and Florida in 2013. LSU has ranked 13th, 14th, 11th, and currently 14th in penalty yard margin each season, respectively. No other SEC team can make that claim.

The average SEC ref flags LSU 6.86 times for 56.63 yards, and has a penalty margin of 1.77-15.51. That's, as we've established above, the worst in the SEC. Ritter seemed to take that as a challenge and he flags LSU an average of 10.14 times for 81.86 yards at a ridiculous margin of 5.29-38.00.

I agree with Aman, it's more a matter of SEC refs just being horribly bad than corrupt per se. Which sucks as the with as much money as the League is making now, it ought to have the cream of the crop. Having national refs vs league refs has been brought up several times but I honestly do not remember who keeps fighting it, the leagues or the refs as a whole. But, fwiw: back in the 60's early 70's, before there was so much money involved, the league had a hard time getting refs, period. So it was at the mercy of having to use former teams' players, and coincidence or not, bama & UGA provided a lot of the refs in that period. This according to a family member who used to work in the league office back then...yes, a bama grad.

This has to be due to cheating. Couldn't be because LSU might play a bit more undisciplined than other teams. Nope. The SEC is picking on LSU. Those cheating bastages.

Don't have to be on the field to be in a refs ear... They talk games way before they are played. Motives, bias, hush hush, conversations are being had since Feb!

Never think they are squeaky clean and there isn't some corruption... If there are a handful of corrupt pastors, don't think refs aren't corrupt. Where there are humans, there is corruption.

Never have I seen a fanbase blame officiating for their team's lack of discipline like the Corndog Nation. They will scream bloody murder when a TD is called back because they had 9 men in the backfield and blame it on the refs.

Why are you telling us? (225) 578-3600 is the number to the LSU athletic department. Why are you not calling Joe Alleva? Why is Joe allowing this corruption to continue and not speaking about it much less doing anything about it? Joe has six months between now and the SEC Spring Meetings to get the 10 votes from other SEC ADs to replace the entire SEC staff and move the HQ to NOLA. Why is Alleva not on the phone RIGHT NOW getting these votes and lobbying change?

If you only knew who I was... I'm not saying Bama is favored, or LSU is the only team that gets bad breaks. Not true at all.

I'm saying there are corrupt refs, and you have your head in the sand if you don't think so. Most are awesome, but to think there aren't a few...well you are simply an idiot.

By the way, I like Saban, and respect the piss out of Alabama. So don't take it personal.

So, the SEC is intentionally not calling Kentucky penalties also?

Perhaps Alabama has been a fairly disciplined team for the past few years. Perhaps LSU, UGA, and UF have been shooting themselves in the foot. From the games I've seen they have made some boneheaded moves that have cost them.

UGA and UF fans aren't crying about it. They can see that their team needs to play smarter in respect to penalties.

Quit menstruating and realize that there is NO CONSPIRACY. SEC refs just suck in general.
