This is a smart move by the program, the program took a big step forward when drinking turned the program over to the assistants. He was on the hot seat before that happened.
And there’s no need in paying him more money because no one is knocking on the door for him anyway. Just stick to what’s working for now.

He's done pretty good with the talent level he's had and has improved the talent level.

Sam is 7-22 against top 25 teams.
Same win total but Sam has obviously faced a tougher schedule.

It's starting to feel like a battle of the Columbias in the SEC. Beamer and Drinkwitz feel like they are in a dead heat for the top of the middle of the pack.
