I know most LSU fans, don't like Eddie O, but I do, and can't understand how you fire a coach who won the Natty 2 years prior. Really doesn't make any sense. I think this will be a problem hiring new a coach. I would like to see Georgia find a spot on their staff for him.

Well first you have to understand what it’s like to win a national title. Obviously that isn’t happening so let’s just stop there.

The rest of the conference would love nothing more than to see Yaw-Yaw at Georgia as well.

I think most here likes Coach O, he's like your crazy uncle that made that one big insurance claim and got paid. Probably fun as hell to have a beer and chase tail with but not necessarily someone you want running a 600m dollar program.

I would hate for LSU to find a program builder coach capable of winning the West consistently and competing for a National Championship every few years.

It's kinda the same way with UGA... the right coach sends the Dawgs on a 10 year run being elite like what Kirby is currently building now.

Teams like UGA, LSU, Florida, and Alabama with the right coach should always be on brink of being contenders.

No, most of us love him, we just don't want him to run our program into the ground anymore.

LSU fans remind me of Nebraska. They think they should be best of the best always. Rolling through coaches and next you know they will be begging for a winning record and wishing they still had Les Miles.

This helps clarify but of course SI had to throw some liberal stuff in there that made no impact at all to the decision as our AD clearly stated so ignore that part…

Well let’s have Kirby bring his various girlfriends and kids to practice to participate in drills, then ask yourself that question again. How could he be fired only two years after a natty?

Nebraska

In the middle of no where, doesn't even have the amount of talent as a state you would find in Hammonds or Shreveport.

Better comparison is Miami if they don't make the right hire. Even that is not fair, because LSU is a Top 5 job, rabid fanbase, wealthy boosters, plenty of local talent, facilities etc.

Please do. Your players will love running drills with the children of his multiple GF’s.

Because Nebraska has three titles this century? That fan base is what pushes the machine. It’s like trying to compare The Grove (cold chicken fingers) with tailgating at LSU (hot boudin and gumbo)

Not as a head coach but another analyst or DL coach.

This is why 2020 and so far through 2021 are unacceptable and why he should have been in the hot seat.

Throw in all the rumors about off the field antics and you get why he got let go

Trying to make sure that 41 years from now……

……ranters won’t say “2019” to us, like we all say “1980” to you.

LSU has a goal of winning championships. Ed was waning. Gone.

1980.
